Hi Guys! I've been SO out of it lately. My reading slump lasted at least a month and half. Scrolling through and reading comments, building myself up through you all has helped me find my 1st love again. I'm about half way through my current read and enjoying it. This is what my lunch hour looks like today. I'm happy 😊

The Great Alone | Kristin Hannah

Pickpick

Finished this over the weekend and give it 4 🌟. Some parts made me cringe because of its graphic descriptions but it added to the overall, compelling listening experience. The narrator did a great job in bringing the story to life. This was my first read written by this author and I'll definitely be reading more of her work.

Stopped by to pick up "Little Fires Everywhere" on hold and couldn't resist "Crimes of the Father" on my way out ?

One of my favorite authors and poet. Her wisdom still resonates. Happy Birthday Dr. Angelou!

I've been feeling like I need a break from Sing, Unburied, Sing so I decided to get an early start on this month's book club read. I've never read any books by this author. Thoughts?

Booksnchill SUS- so much vomit! I took several breaks!! 7y
AngelicaLuvsBooks Oh no. That's what I'm afraid of. The ladies in my book club said either you'll love it or you wont lil Thanks for the heads up! 7y

I'm typically always in the middle of two books. One self-help/inspirational/spiritual type book and the other is "hopefully" a great story I can get lost in. After listening to one of Oprah's podcasts, I knew I had to own these

Here's another one of those times... ?

"There's things that move a man. Like currents of water inside. Things he can't help.... Getting grown means learning how to work that current: learning when to hold fast, when to drop anchor, when to let it sweep you up"

Red Clocks: A Novel | Leni Zumas

Mehso-so

Overall this was a good story but boy was it a struggle to stick with! Leni Zumas' style of writing made it hard to follow at times but I'm glad I stuck with it. Definitely a dystopian style of writing that seems not too far from our current reality. I recommend it only if you prefer the challenge.

DebinHawaii Welcome to Litsy!! 🎉📚👍Hope you enjoy it here! 7y
DebinHawaii I am on the waitlist for this one at the library. 7y
AngelicaLuvsBooks Thank you! My life just got so much better after downloading this app lol. Red Clocks is overall a great story and it gets better later in the book. Or you just get used to the writing. I'm not sure lol Lmk what you think 7y
