Well this is my house lit up for Christmas. Our neighbours little ones love seeing it. Even the delivery driver for our local Chinese asked when we were putting them up last time we saw him. It's not much but cheers the area up.

#WinterReadathonDailyChallenge Todays challenge was Xmas lights so I thought I‘d be a bit nostalgic and show you what my house looked like for Xmas 2018. This is just a few spots of my yard, it had sooo much more going on! I‘ve always loved the lights, being able to walk out my front door & be among them was fantastic. Unfortunately haven‘t put them up since then, but I live in hope. My favourite display was the top picture with the cactus & dog!

Our city‘s Christmas tree. We haven‘t seen it yet, but we plan on visiting next week.

Not this year‘s tree because it‘s not decorated yet, but this is out our tree 2 years ago. Some years we go with white lights; other years we go with multicolored lights.

Every year my family and I go on a drive of the area looking at the best and brightest Xmas lights. We finish at a house which is. bananas about Christmas lights and they raise money for charity from all the people that come to see it. It‘s lovely BUT is this not the most terrifying Christmas decoration you have ever seen! My kids are traumatized 😂 #wintergames2021 #teamgamesleighers #selfiescavangerhunt #christmastraditions

A house nearby went all out by decorating it like National Lapoon's Vacation. They were even featured on the news.

Went and saw the beautiful Christmas lights tonight with my parents!!

I was drawn to this by the prospect of a Christmassy book with a historical fiction element to it. It actually doesn‘t have much Christmas in it until near the very end, but I enjoyed it all the same. I learned so much about a country, landscape and history I knew very little about. The main focus is definitely on the modern part, and I‘m not sure the historical was actually needed in the end. Still I‘m glad it was there because it was interesting

Braved the frigid temperatures to go see some Christmas lights!!! 🎄

This was a really good read. It jumps from present times with Bo's story to the past as we learn about Signy's life. They're are some really clever twists in this that I didn't see coming. I loved the ending and it finished the story perfectly, exactly how I wanted it to. I loved the time jumps and the setting is incredible. A great read that's more than your typical Christmas story.

Well I didn't beat last month but actually ended up with more hours than I thought and even finished a book. November has definitely been my lowest month for reading, hopefully December will be better.
