This was one of my favorite books as a child. The colors are great and the rhyming text is fun. It‘s complete nonsense, and a nice diversion from the dumpster fire of reality.

Me unpacking boxes in my living room, it‘s almost midnight… opens a box full of headbands…

When you spent all last night reading 'cause it was too hot, and all day working, even though it was too hot, the evening, awaiting the hour when it is cool enough to catch up on sleep, is passed with books not requiring advanced reading comprehension. This was fun.

Favorite Litten‘s my sister: @Julsmarshall (sorry, not a fair fight 😄). She‘s not only a brilliant, encouraging sis, but an AMAZING mama, wife, baker/cook, event planner & has an inborn good-book radar!—even tho‘ I have the lit degree/librarian background.

The images have P.D. Eastman‘s trademark high energy and dynamic movement that raise the excitement of a young reader. this book is full of bright colors, first words, ave dry wit. this is a great book for young ages

this book is a canine classic. reader can‘t help but ask: where are all the dogs going? Turns out, all hounds, poodles,labs and more are going to a party on the top of the tree

Just read this with my nephew, who hasn't read an entire book before but could read many of these words! This is one of my favorite books since I was a kid. A classic and for a good reason. He was laughing at many of the illustrations. #kidlit #kidlitsy #picturebooks
