This was a cute YA rom com.that took the story of Cinderella and made.its home.in geek culture. It was really well done. Enjoyable.

🎧 I loved this story, it‘s so cute. Very Cinderella-ish in a geeky Comic-Con-y kinda way.

Elle, Sage, Cap & Darien were a great ensemble cast of characters.

Chloe & Catherine (evil step sister & step mother) were the perfect villains.

Entertaining fluff read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Retellings aren‘t usually my thing, but this sounded so fun. I mean, instead of a prince, there‘s a hot sci-fi actor. Instead of a royal ball, there‘s cosplay. The pumpkin is a freaking vegan food truck! 😂 Danielle, AKA Elle, shared a “Starfield” obsession with her late parents. Now, there‘s a reboot starring some washboard-abbed teen actor, over whom all the girls swoon, but Elle is not impressed .... yet. Super cute, clever, and geeky.

Felt exaggerated,unrealistic and cheesy. But quite cute retelling :)

What a nice surprise this book was. A geeky retelling of Cinderella. I enjoyed the references to many of the sci-fi/fantasy shows I have known and loved 😊 🌟🌟🌟.5

This was a cute rom com. Elle was sweet and spunky, although I really liked her sidekick, Sage. And the chapters from Darien‘s point of view were my favorite. The stepmother was over the top, but overall, a quick and fun Cinderella retelling.

Looking for a quick feel-good read that is filled with geekiness? Then Geekerella is the book for you! The princess is from the show Starfield, the magic pumpkin is a vegan food truck and the ball is the ExcelsiCon Cosplay Ball. This book spoke to my inner geek! This was between a pick and a so-so. I really enjoyed the relationship between the characters and the author did a great job incorporating Cinderella. But I didn't enjoy it as much as other YA contemporaries I've read lately. I'm not sure if I'll read the rest of the series.

The sequel is slated for next summer.

My new favorite take on the Cinderella story❤️ Elle and Darien are such great characters. I especially love how he stood up for her at the ball against her step sister. I can‘t wait to read the rest of the series.

I didn‘t love this, love this, but then I always have some issues with the sheer meanness of the evil stepmother in Cinderella stories. But by the end I was mostly won over so I‘ll be generous and go for a pick rating. Plus it has a dachshund.

What a cute little book. I really liked the spin on Cinderella and all the geeky references. The romance was cute, if not a bit quick (just suspend stranger danger over the internet disbelief). It was happy fluff and I loved it.

I've been in a fantasy mood lately! This book was so cute! I cant say it was different than any other books/movies that have been based off of Cinderella. But when you pick up a book based off of Cinderella, you pretty much know that already. It was so cute and had my heart fluttering! You definently cheer her on through the whole book and fall in love with El & Dariens love ❤ Quick, easy, and adorable read!
