Just finished this one. I had a great time listening and laughing to it. If u need a good laugh, I suggest trying it out.
Well I busted that out in a day! ❤️❤️ While this book was different, I was excited to see a Winston connection and not just Ashley. You‘ll recognize the main man if you read Beau‘s book (not required though). I say different because it was slower, and maybe bordering on a ‘mystery/thriller‘ romance? I won‘t say the story was entirely satisfying, but these two have another book, so it certainly isn‘t finished.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
A short hiatus, but I‘m back to Reid! #currentlylistening
Making my way through my #ThingsinCommon TBR, and having a blast! Hoping to finish the tagged book before the end #AwesomeApril 💖

I must admit this one didn't really work for me. The author prides herself on smart characters but Janie is good at math and remembering tiny details, not at understanding subtext or watching out for herself. When she gets more involved with a guy she'd been crushing on, she never fully uncovers his ties with local criminals including her sisters and his ex but that doesn't seem to matter? ↘️
I should have DNF‘d when he ordered for her at dinner. What was an average contemporary romance took a strange, and unwelcome, turn around the ⅔-¾ mark. Too much going on, and it all felt half hazardly thrown together to sever no other purpose than to make the book longer.

#7books7days this book is the #romantsy that got me out of a massive slump and reminded me of how much I love reading #romance after having veered away for years
1. Not sure how I feel about this one yet, since the main character is quite annoying.
2. Thirteen books checked out with ten more on reserve.
3. I usually turn to either rereads of books I love, or do a month of Kindle Unlimited reading nothing but brain candy! :-D

I liked this book, the only hangs up I had, is the fact that I'm too dumb to understand all the smart conversations Janey had with her friends. Penny Reid is either really intelligent, or does a lot of research. I liked Janey with Quinn, but I only wished the sex scenes were less fade to black and more descriptive. Other than that I did enjoy this book
This looks like a cute Rom-Com and it‘s FREE!!! Y‘all check it out!!!

I just finished re-reading this one in preparation for #bookbonanza19. I couldn‘t believe it‘s been 6 years since I first read it. Some books are forgettable but as soon as I started this one again, it all came back to me! I highly recommend anything written by Penny Reid!
I actually hit 24 hours!! My #24in48 #readathon is complete! I even got in some good reading time on the tagged book I‘m re-reading. This was so much fun and really helped me knock out some books I‘ve been wanting to read!
Cute, quick romance that‘s written well and isn‘t entirely gaggy! Loved that the main character is a walking factoid!
Recently subscribed to the Romance Package on Audible! Really enjoying this book so far. #currentlylistening #audiobook #audible
Eh, I didn‘t love this one. I know a lot of people who love Penny Reid, but I almost bailed around the halfway mark, and just finished it because I didn‘t have another kindle book at the moment. The overuse of the word “slamp” was driving me craaazy. #howjessreadsin2019
Started the year by reading something easy and light. I saw a photo of this book by random on Instagram and thought why not. If you‘re looking for an easy chick-lit read, I would recommend this.

My comfort reads are Romantic Comedies. My go to authors are Penny Reid, Kristen Ashley and Alice Clayton.

Early on I realized that this was an early Reid book and that the hero, is actually a relation to one of Reid's characters in her Winston Brothers series, which I'm very much in love with, and contented to the idea that maybe this wouldn't be up to par with her current writing and I'm pretty thankful that I didn't compare the two too harshly. The traits that I love about Reid's heroines are visible in Janie the MC but I wasn't in love with her.
There is a boy in my house, other than my husband and it is weird. But eh, he‘s just here because we DVR‘d the Notre Dame game yesterday and so he‘s here to “watch” the game. I shall hide in my room and do “research”. 🤣🤣🤣

This series has such a delightful group of friends.

🐔🐔🐔🐔For those of you following #cockygate, Penny Reid and like 20+ other authors have organized an anthology to support the writers and donate to RWA for the lawsuit. More info: https://www.cockyauthors.com/
I‘m just not really feeling this. The writing style kind of irks me for whatever reason.
Next up for me to read.
Welp, as usual, I messed up, lol. I hit reset rather than start 🤦🏻♀️. So I‘m checking in at almost 21 hours, and really enjoying this MC and her “plethora of trivial facts.”

Sometimes you just need a #romance novel and a great ensemble of ladies. Check and check. #glorytotheguild
#9 for 2018
Love the Winston Brothers Series but this was disappointing do I won‘t bother reading the rest of the Knitting Club Series.

I love Janie & Quinn. But for the love of God where did the word “slamp” come from???
#quirky #romance
I love Janie. Yes, she is a bit strange/weird/quirky but so cute at the same time.
#noteworthynovember @Jess7
When I'm heading into a book slump or just having a bad day, I turn to my favorite #romantsy authors for quick reads with guaranteed HEAs because sometimes #allyouneedislove. #rocktober
The first in Reid‘s Knitting in the City series, in which eccentric and Christina-Hendricks looking Janie falls in intense lust/like/love with the stern security firm owner her friends and she have christened Sir Handsome McHotpants. With a charming supporting cast (including a cheating ex and felonious relatives) to go with the adorable couple #romantsy
Book 78. This was alright book, still a pick even though it wasn't as good as Truth Or Beard. I'll continue on with the series and especially the spin off series. I'm not into insta love, so I felt like they could have dragged that out a little more and the main character seemed a little naive. (Pic of Khaleesi and I)
This was a disappointing one, as it was a case of something that seemed like it should be right up my alley just turning out to be #notforme - although I tend to love stuff that is quirky, this one felt aggressively quirky in a way that grated on my nerves. I'm tempted to try a different one by this author, give her another chance to win me over, but I'm nervous about it after this one. #jubilantjuly
I grew up surrounded by romance novels; Harlequins of all types. And I read my way through them when I was young and starry-eyed. I eventually traded them in for mysteries and science fiction but have slowly been making my way back. This was nice, light, and provided a great palate cleanser for all the dark stuff I march through both in reading and viewing. It'd be really good for a beach read and there are more books in the series if you like it!
