I found this book hard to get into. I liked the female characters but was left wanting more. She could have named this book We All Have Problems or lighter version of Big Little Lies...

t‘s an alright book. I would really give it in between pick and so-so if I could. It started off slow and then steady till about the last 1/3rd where it really took off.
All the right elements were there but you just failed to care about any of them and that‘s the problem.

Light hearted and fun, everyone has their own baggage rom-com. I like the BOTM cover better.

I cannot express how much I love this book. Strong women lead characters, books, historical (although based on real facts) fiction, I loved it all.

Don‘t expect a cozy read here. Or like able characters. Everyone has their flaws. Esp the men. This was gory in parts which I typically do not read, but I managed to make it through the more squeamish parts. But overall I enjoyed the story arc.

This was my son‘s first chapter book that he read on his own. I read the book along with him, more like a buddy read so we could discuss it after. This kid is really a jerk. So it did provide the opportunity for us to speak about some of his behaviors in the book. Is he grown up Cailou???

If you enjoy long crafted long sentences this book is for you. I enjoyed the story but it was very long and arduous at times. I love the Count, that‘s what pulled me through.

This book is fused with humor, grief, and loss. The inside flap says “A hilarious novel...” The written Laura Zigman is definitely funny and articulate. What comes through is the compassion of a woman going through many difficult relationships in her life.

Second book I‘ve read by her. Similar themes. Unreliable narrator. Keeps you guessing to the very end.

Not really ALL the missing girls really like 2 but whatever. If you love unreliable narrators and backwards timelines then this book is for you. I enjoyed it enough to finish it.

I cried at times! Hit me in the feels. Positive portrayal of great kids with a strong message.

Not a Christmas book. More like a alternating view of a year long friendship between two flat mates.

Not my book. Story wants to do everything of its age. Vampire, werewolf, angels, demons, more sci-fi, mommy daddy issues. Too much for me. And the story arc takes too long. I can‘t see how so many people have followed all her books for so long.

A lady‘s guide takes us back to Britain and mystery in the 1899s. A little boring from time to time but we watch Frances play sleuth.

Part mystery, part romance, part time travel. Pleasant to but not my favorite by her by far. The first part sucks you in, and the second just pulls you through. Leaves with tons of questions.

Nina learns a lot about life in this book. She loves cats, coffee, books, & being alone. But is that all there is??? I love love love this book. Cute, light, quirky.

I was so excited to read this book. Multiple families, drama, suburban school setting, I‘m in. But you don‘t really end up liking any of the characters. They‘re all evil and weird in their own ways. But it held my interest enough for me to finish it hence the so-so rating. Thanks #botm for another mediocre pick.

This book needs an index of characters. I keep getting so confused. And he refers to some of the kids as letters like Z and Q. Dude I‘m lost.

Started off strong, five students walk into detention and only four walk out alive. The brain, the beauty, the criminal, and the outcast almost like the Breakfast Club with murder...and less witty. But still interesting with a hint of YA romance.

I was finally able to put this rich family to rest. I enjoyed reading about the different families throughout the summer. #beachreads

I‘m having fun reading these during the summer. The perfect beach read. Light, fun and snarky.

Enjoyed the premise. Kind of crazy trying to keep the side characters straight. But overall loved it. Excited to read book two of the trilogy!

The best book I‘ve read in a while. Different perspectives done right. Keeps you interested in all the story lines not just the hero.

For some reason I thought Memorial Day would be a good day to start this book. Maybe the WW setting?

Another just ok library find. Lipman tried so hard to pick up many topics but just couldn‘t thread them together. At then end I guess she was like okay almost 300 pages...that‘s enough for a book.

It‘s not about the how or why of the virus so that maybe aggravating to some people. It‘s more about the characters and what they are going through as the town goes under. 📚 📖

I wish I could give this book 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘bc that‘s how good it is. The chapters are short and art is fully crafted. Like little vignettes into the sisters‘ lives. I cant recommend this book enough!
