so-soThe history of Quidditch itself was quite interesting and funny. Along with the audiobook of the „Hogwarts schoolbook“ came two short stories of Quidditch championships which have been quite boring - like warching or listening the live ticker of any football match.

pickAgain, this was good enough. My favorite part was the library checkout record at the beginning, but the history and such of quidditch was interesting. I like the thought put into the wizarding world. It didn‘t add much to my HP experience but it was a nice mini-visit.

Not a book that would have any value value to read on its own, but the history of Quidditch and the rules make an easy fun read for those fan of the Harry Potter series.

I have been absolutely horrible at checking in on my own readathon, apologies. My anxiety got in the way and I hit a real reading slump. I feel like I'm on my way back up now though, and I'm really enjoying this little book as a fun escape. That poor little snidget though. I'm with Modesty.
Also, love that this letter is from Modesty to Prudence — they sound similar to names in Fantastic Beasts (the movie). ⚡ #potteraday

pickThis was a fun short one for any Wizarding World fan. After the initial book on the audio edition that I did there was a Quidditch World Cup report. I didn‘t love that but it was ok. Still fun to listen to.

pickI read this Sept 1 and gave it 4 ⭐️ on Good Reads. I‘d bought the book because I was a Harry Potter completionist (before I got burned out) and because it raised money for Comic Relief. This is a fun little read. Very imaginative.
I love all that is black & gold so when I saw that these sneakers came out in the new Harry Potter Vans line I knew I needed them. Aren‘t they fabulous?

pickEven though I‘m a huge Harry Potter fan, this history of Quidditch didn‘t especially thrill me. Of course, I was reading a book about Quidditch for the reading challenge prompt, “read a book involving sports.” That probably says more about me than it says about this book.
The depth and breadth of Rowling‘s worldbuilding continues to astound me. If the Quidditch scenes were your favorite parts of the Harry Potter books, then this book is for you!
pickA good companion piece to the Harry Potter series. I have read the physical copy and now the audiobook which as the added bonus of special sound effects which adds to the experience and I highly recommend you listen to it.
Today we had my son's birthday party. He wanted a Harry Potter theme, so we put up Hogwarts banners, I made Golden Snitches and we had a magical treasure hunt. I'm dead tired right now, but the children loved it!

Listening to this one entirely because it is read by Andrew Lincoln. It‘s such a delight to hear “Rick Grimes” speaking in his natural British accent (as well as in several additional put-upon accents and voices) about witches and wizards and magic. I love it when my fandoms collide!!!
