Didn't finish it last time and never reviewed it. So, all I felt after finishing it is that the ending is anti-climactic. Good start with the theme of love, nostalgia, bonding, then the sudden discovery n the growing tension. Quite jerk characters. But all happened for some bland reasons. The narrator's personal life is totally unimportant in the development of the plot. Didn't relish the novel. Like all for nothing. I sold the book with 15% off

And this year I am embarking on a new journey. Like totally single. Goal oriented, positive, empowering and disciplined life. It's been really tough to remould myself but I'm good at trying.

This year i just wanna a read min. 10 novels. Old and new. Drama n poetry included. No pressure.

I loved the book. Its a non fiction book. And it shows how you can navigate your life towards abundance and prosperity and most important, towards having the peace of mind.

My current read.

Recently I've been reading Donne. I don't generally go for poetry but a friend of mine once suggested me for Donne, that I would like it.
I really found the collection quite interesting. It's the poet's strange yet fascinating use metaphysical conceits and his subtle sense of presentation of the temperament of the age fused with his personal issues.
It establishes the relationship between the personal and the universal.

Enjoyed it thoroughly.

At last, I've started reading this book, been looking for this like for months. It's of my top favourite writer.
Most of the people will admit that Hardy's a pessimist. But what I think is that the word pessimist sounds negative. He's more of a realist.

He writes in the simple language of philosophy with his often stinging irony; that life is never cruel by itself but it's our ignorance to reality which makes it difficult.

Ghosh has always been one of my favorite writers and I think this book is his signature work along with The Glass Palace n sea of Poppies. Precisely i love the way he keeps it low profile yet elegant while illustrating the story along with his dialectical uses in his novels. But what i like about d novel is d raw depiction of daily life and death situations of the abandoned fates. It's like a war for survival. Would recommend the book to everyone.

I think that d Harry Potter books r better than the movie series. I mean Rowling's deep imagination, humour n Vivid descriptions of characters, incidents n settings r wat evokes d unquenchabl thirst 2 learn more about Harry's life n his ppl. In d book, Ron always amazes us wid his stupid ideas. Tbh the book takes us to a more magical Hogwarts.
Or it may b just because I can't get enough of Harry Potter n so wishing for the next part 8,9,10,...🤔

I love the book.
Generally I don't go for the modern. But this book depicts a very harsh reality.
The way the characters struggle to live their lives a bit more than they are 'alotted' mostly caught my attention.
And somewhere it just felt that we too often do suffer from certain fate where someone else decides our lives and we are left helpless, with no right to choose for ourselves which is very unfortunate.

This evening is dedicated to the Bard of Avon.

Now that my exam is over, I've officially returned into LITSY (I was active and I have zero determination when it comes to books, so it was an unsuccessful HIATUS).

Anyways in the process, I've fallen in love with stream of consciousness novel, and I'm starting now with Mrs. Dalloway.

It's good in its own way.. coz nothing can beat Oliver twist, david Copperfield n Great expectations(favourite). Character portrayal is very vivid. and it has a lot of symbols and stuff.

This is my precious little wishlist. It contains... 🤔Well... names of more than 300 books🌋(out of which I read only 80 so far) which I must read before I die🕛. So, it's a lifetime plan. 😇🤓😇

I enjoyed it thoroughly. Again. it's the fourth time. Academic reads. (Can't dare to read apart from college stuffs at this moment??). It has everything I look for in a non-fiction. Beautiful way of description. Characters are well conceived. Perfect way to present an almost autobiography. I love Joyce. Looking forward to read "Ulysses" too.

A must read for every Bookworm... if you still haven't.

Academic read.
It presents the real pre-independent society of India. It's just like the story of the old India I'd heard from my great grandpa. It's a serious stuff. Really serious stuff.
And a must-read too.
