Enjoyed this one so much for its kind, mature, fun characters, and cozy vibes. I wanted an epilogue in the worst way.

This book is a cozy hug! Eve‘s journey through a surprise pregnancy, discovering herself & friends-to-lovers romance is predictable but perfect. The warmth, charm and heartfelt moments shine. There‘s also a found family vibe here. The audiobook was fantastic, bringing these lovable characters to life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚

So freaking good! You ever need a good romantic comedy that reminds you of watching movies like When Harry Met Sally and its a dreary rainy weekend and all you want to do is lose yourself in the problems of characters that are so loveable and sweet and funny and you're just rooting for them to get their shit together and live happily ever after? Yes, total run on sentence with zero correct punctuation..I know. Don't care. (I adore Shep) 5 stars!!

This guy has been hanging with me while I finished up this one this week. I liked the characters in this one a lot! Thats really what sells these romances for me. If I don‘t like the characters, it‘s game over. I actually laughed at some of the banter between Shep and Eve. A fun one to be sure

This was a delightful true rom-com, I actually giggled multiple times. It also is a true friends to lovers. There is an accidental pregnancy-it happens right at the beginning so not a spoiler, but there is no hiding it. This is just a very cozy, adorable romance. Loved it! 5⭐️

Shep is everything and oh my gosh where can I find one?! Nurse Louise was a total gem. Eve was so lucky to be surrounded by such great people during a time when life is really stressful. Book #35 in 2024

Ready or Not was my favorite read of the month. I'm having trouble comparing it to Witch King though, they are such a different vibe... Will report back later

I absolutely adored this book! Bastone has become an auto-read author for me. She writes such beautifully crafted characters. I loved witnessing Eve grow into herself and figure out what she wants out of life after her unplanned pregnancy news. Her relationships with her close friends and family are all affected by this life development in unexpected ways 💕

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.29-30: how brave Eve is to trust Ethan! That‘s so great and big of her. The better they start off on this rocky road the smoother it‘ll become. And what a birthing experience! I‘m guessing she didn‘t go for the epidural - silly silly woman. Review ⬇️

What an adorable book and a romance unlike I had ever read before! I loved all of the characters growth throughout and had the perfect happily ever after! #littensloveromance

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.27-28: I love their real conversations. I think being so honest and open will make them really go the distance. We‘ll finish up the last of the book tomorrow!

5✨We start off knowing our main character had a one night stand and ended up pregnant. As her baby grows, she does too. Discovering what she wants in life, what really matters, and what goals she wants in the future she needs to work for. Excellent character development, funny, heartfelt, and completely entertaining. #LittensLoveRomance @StayCurious

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.25-26: Oy Ethan! You‘re such a mess. But at least when you‘re drunk you‘re honest. Poor Shep. But I love him even more now. And good for Eve. I honestly wouldn‘t have had the guts to turn down Xaria‘s offer. But she‘s finally going after what she wants now.

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.23-24: Eve‘s a better person than I am haha. I‘d still be telling Ethan to get his act together. But she‘s doing so much personal growth it‘s kinda great. And then there‘s Shep and things are finally moving forward and there are kisses and it‘s so sweet. What a nice chapter. I can‘t wait to see where we go from here.

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.21-22: what a great cathartic hug-fest with Willa. It makes me happy that they‘ve been honest now with each other and are back on track. Although I think Eve feels more for Shep than she let on. It‘s love - not just a crush. Will Willa support her more if she understands it‘s more than just a whim? Is it more than just a whim?

I finished this early for our #LittensLoveRomance buddy read so I‘m not giving anything away. It was my favorite read/listen of last week. Such a great cast of characters.

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.17-18: I‘m glad we got to see pregnant dragon lady come out with that jerk Eve ran into. The nerve of him to say those things! I love that she had a little saviour in that old lady. Eve needs to open herself up to the possibility of Shep and be honest with him about what she‘s feeling. It‘s obvious he‘s feeling something too. Friends are not usually so cozy cozy. And now she thinks she loooooooves him - that‘s a big deal⬇️

I really loved this! I won‘t say too much because I read it with the #LittensLoveRomance group, and as is usual for me, I finished ahead of schedule. It was touching and sweet, with just a little bit of spice. There‘s also a great cast of characters! And the cover is so adorables,

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.15-16: Ethan is entitled to his feelings - but the baser part of me is shouting he‘s a coward! I can‘t believe he hasn‘t checked in with her!? But Shep brought her groceries and these two need to get together so bad! Not just for Eve‘s state of mind - but for mine. Also - only having 12 weeks of maternity leave is so hard - I‘m sorry for any new mom that loses out of extra recovery time and time with their baby.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13-14: What the hell, Ethan!? How can you still be so unsure if you‘re going to be involved? Man, your GF must have you by the —- well, you know. But you‘ve even told your mom! She‘s not going to forget that she has a grandchild out there! Ugh. Frustrated for poor Eve. Ethan needs to man up. Also, I love Nurse Blank.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch. 11-12: Thousands a month for daycare is crazy. She‘ll need child support for sure. But how to broach that subject? Ethan told his family but stIll acts like he‘s doing something wrong by being at Eve‘s place - he‘s so guilty he jumps to answer his phone when it buzzes. Elodi is going to be a pain in the bum I think. And Eve is so awkward around Shep now - will she be able to come to terms with her new feelings?

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.9-10: things are getting pretty intimate between Shep and Eve. Do they both feel it? Eve definitely senses that things have changed between them. And she is not ready.
Eve‘s family reacted better than I thought they would. Two of her brothers at least seem nice. But they‘re a bit far away to give too much support. It was hard to find a meme that encapsulated their situation. Having such an age difference would be strange.

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.7-8: do we think Shep is just being supportive or does he have feelings for Eve? The two of them are definitely cozy. He‘s very sweet. And then…there‘s Ethan. This poor guy. His GF must be putting him through the wringer. For him to just now ask about paternity? That wasn‘t him - that has jealous other woman written all over it. Although it is a smart, practical question.⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch5-6: So…what do we think of Ethan? I get that he‘s out of his depth, but I do wish he could be a bit stronger for Eve. And for his GF in fact. I can‘t believe he didn‘t tell her yet. Was he hoping Eve wouldn‘t keep it? And then he‘d have nothing to tell??
I hate that her friendship with Willa has become strained. It hurts my heart. But I do love me some Shep. What an adorable guy.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.3-4: I used this meme but really, Shep was so great while Eve was crying all over him-What a great friend! He knew exactly what to say. Poor Eve: what a blow to find out the guy who knocked you up is in a serious and complicated relationship. I really felt for Eve, thinking she‘s not going to get a happy ending at all. I mean yes, she hardly knows Ethan, but she‘s not wrong in hoping there might have been something there⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch1-2: One night of fun really can change your life forever. Eve finds out that what was supposed to be a one night stand landed her pregnant - and while she‘s still trying to process everything, she tells her best friend and doesn‘t exactly get the best reaction. I mean - I get that Willa is entitled to her feelings but Eve is right - she did make the news completely about her, and that‘s not right.⬇️

I was sick all week. I was laid up with fever and aches. I had no will to read. I feel better today and started reading Zorrie for #SundayBuddyRead and Ready or Not for #LittensLoveRomance

This was such a feel good read with lovable characters and forward motion the whole way for MC, Eve. The few supporting characters are interesting on their own and I can imagine the author writing them into the MCs of their own stories.

I loved this sweet rom-com. It had some great humour and just the right amount of spice for me (more story than spice - but still spicy where appropriate). What I found a refreshing change was the cast of likable characters, albeit human and with flaws. As a mother of three, I also enjoyed the memories the story triggered as the main character's pregnancy progressed. I had trouble putting this one down. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. 4.5/5

What an unusual, lovely, romantic, and authentic story about a woman who is on autopilot until an unplanned pregnancy throws her life into technicolor. There were some tough moments but so many sweet ones and the way the people around her showed up for her had me grinning from ear to ear. I will seek out more from Bastone! #BOTM #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

Cara Bastone weaves humor and all the feels in this one. Loved it.

I am not a fan of the surprise pregnancy trope but I decided to give this one a shot because it had such rave reviews. I did enjoy the book enough that I finished it. I struggled to get into it at first but it did pick up. The romance was cute but it took a while to get there so if you like slow burns this is your book. Overall it was a good book.

I *should* be doing about 20 other things but it‘s pouring rain and the cats are very convincing that reading in bed is a good life choice, so I‘m just going to maybe finish this book before I get motivated. (This one is cute! I get a little annoyed with some of her over the top descriptions - I get it, dude is large, you have a crush - but it also made me go awwww and fondly remember being pregnant,… 22 years ago!!)

This was very cute! I was nervous it might get awkward since it‘s a “friends-to-lovers” where one friend spends the entire book pregnant, but it never did. A great read for folks who loved the show “Gilmore Girls” and anything romance that doesn‘t get explicit.

Excuse the #PuppyBomb on my February #BookOfTheMonth pick! I had so much fun with this #OneSittingRead! It makes for a great Valentine‘s romance! Eve‘s story of a one-night stand that ends up turning her life upside down when she realizes weeks later that she‘s pregnant. Characters that feel real and a satisfyingly romantic storyline, and genuine emotion, I literally couldn‘t put this one down! Excited to read more from Bastone in the future!
