#Naturalitsy #HyggeHourReadathon

Spending #HyggeHour starting this book & a peppermint crunch chocolate bar.🍫 It‘s not been a calm Christmas so far so hoping to find ideas in here.

I might finish the scratch off for my #OnceUponABookClub reading challenge so I can take a pic & send it in for a free book, but honestly, I‘m tired & have to get up ultra early to fly to Hilo so I might throw it in my overnight bag & do it at the hotel.🤷🏻‍♀️

TheBookHippie Yummm peppermint crunch…I hope calm visits soon!! 6d

5. This plays more into the 1970 edition, but the world of rare book collecting can be cutthroat and full of swindlers like Bassword.

Here is a 2016 article from LitHub that talks a bit about the rare book world and thievery: https://lithub.com/a-visit-to-the-shadowy-world-of-rare-book-theft/

kwmg40 The 1937 edition had swindlers but not rare books. Coincidentally, I just started a Vicki Delany mystery that centres around a rare manuscript. 7d
Ruthiella I liked that this book wasn‘t about jewels or lost wills but instead rare books (and art). Thanks for the link to the article! 7d
MariaW The article was very interesting. I like the thought that the guy, who stole the two volumes, had to send them back because he could not sell them. There is link to the database of stolen books in the article. I scrolled through the list and came across some very interesting incidents and books. 7d
dabbe I read an article in VANITY FAIR a few years ago about a big art heist and the underground art trade in Amsterdam. Fascinating. Thanks for the link to this article, too. I'll read it during #hyggehour tonight! 6d

The Drunken Botanist | Amy Stewart

My plan for tonight's #Hyggehour is to browse Amy Stewart's amazing "spirited toast to the marriage of botany and booze." While doing so, I shall be sipping a festive, sloe gin hot toddy. ??❄️?

What are your plans?

#Naturalitsy #HyggeHourReadathon

Spending my #HyggeHour on the couch & starting this library book which I am hoping is as funny as advertised. Also trying this local candy which is peppermint milk chocolate with pretzel crunch.

Feeling reluctant to start the week as it will be another busy one preparing to present to the board next week. I really would have liked another day off. Mondays come much too soon! 🥱😵😵‍💫

MemoirsForMe This book sound hilarious! I have a similar one on my Kindle. Wishing you a smooth and easy work week! 2w

Starting my hygge hour a bit late tonight, but I‘m finally in the kitchen with my book and a snack. I‘m feeling good, but also starting to get a bit worried about everything I need to get done this week. #hyggehour #MidWinterSolace

AnnCrystal Citrus🍊My favorite💝💝💝...try to enjoy the moment 🫂. 2w
AllDebooks Loved these stories, so funny. Hopefully, #Hyggehour set you right. Bteathe, focus on the here and now, delegate (if you can), and do what you can. Break big tasks into smaller ones to stop overwhelming you. 2w

My #hyggehour tonight:
Catching up on Anna Karenina, read a lovely winter poem by Jean L. O‘Connor, in her book, A Cartography of Peace, drinking hot milk with cinnamon stick, no snack. Feel relaxed, calm, cozy. #hyggehourreadathon

Last night‘s #hyggehour - the last of the pie, reading, and some ginger ale. Such a good way to end the weekend.

TheBookHippie I love pie. 3w
Bookwormjillk @TheBookHippie I am sad to see it go, but I must make space for cookies. 3w
