Had an impromptu family get together yesterday so I missed out on hygge hour but made up for it today. Tried out Uncle Fluffy Japanese cheesecakes for lunch today. I know. Cheesecake for lunch is not ideal but that is the beauty of being a grown up, I can do what I want. Overall, I enjoyed it. Very light and fluffy but the cheesecake flavor was very mild.

My #HyggeHour is being spent with Nancy for #NancyDrewBR & with tea, a face mask & a few Girl Scout cookies

My mood is mellow & a bit bummed that tomorrow is Monday & it will be another crazy week while getting ready for a work trip next Sunday. Happy to have this #Hygge transition time.🙏🏼

My first try at making “brookies” (brownies topped with chocolate chip cookie). Tasted better than they looked.

Finishing my first Tana French book, The Trespasser. It‘s really good! Kept me hooked.

I focused on my flower a day as I‘ve fallen behind..
It‘s hard to focus in the still while we are grieving and your child is grieving and there are not words.
As I said Friday a dear family friend-a very young woman took her life in the early hours Friday. It‘s just difficult. It is still raw, and just a shock. Anyway happy for flowers to look at and admire the beauty and frailty of it all.

Also tried to read You Be Mother… did not enjoy it. Cut out at p. 100… maybe some feedback from #RealLifeBookGroup (rlbg) will persuade me to keep going. For now, a bail.

I tried tagging Annabelles Bookclub LA but the store wasn‘t listed in the database. Anyway, an unexpected work trip brought me out to the valley yesterday and it put me in proximity to Annabells so I had to pop in. Cute store, very well curated and if you didn‘t know, Annabell opened her store at the age of 17. I spent my hygge hour last night photographing my loot.

My #HyggeHour is going to start soon & a little earlier as I have to pick up a colleague early from the airport tomorrow & it‘s a day full of meetings.
