Finished Book 2 in the series Sunday for #EBBR & I did pretty well solving the crimes. I only one that I didn‘t completely get was The Case of the Ambushed Cowboy as I knew what it had to do with but not exactly why (no spoilers here!) 😉 I‘m not saying I‘ve gotten smarter as an adult—I could just be remembering bits from my childhood. My favorite thing is when “Leroy” Brown solves his dad‘s cases at the dinner table.

My #HyggeHour tonight is being spent with Encyclopedia Brown for #EBBR & my favorite Dried Cinnamon Fuji Apple slices & apple tea. I‘ll finish the book pretty quickly so I will probably visit some #5JoysFriday or crash & go to sleep.

Mood is fairly neutral but not excited for Monday tomorrow & another busy week ahead.

Well fellow sleuths! How did you fare this time with the latest #EBBR? I missed “The Case of the Hungry Hitchhiker”. 🤭

I also cracked up in the first story when I read “He wore a face longer than the last day of school.” 😂

I have a real mystery to solve. Does anyone know what happened to @ bthegood? Her page and handle have disappeared. I hope it‘s just a Litsy glitch and she will make her way back. 🤞❤️

DGRachel I hope she‘s okay. 🥺 As for the book, I enjoyed most of it and solved all but two or three. The teeth collection still freaks me out. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 2w

DebinHawaii Hope everything is okay with her! I did well with these overall. I didn‘t know exactly why for the Ambushed Cowboy in terms of ahead or behind but had the general idea. The Hungry Hitchhiker one was one I got right away living in a year-round warm climate! 😉 1w

I never made a special section for the #EBBR that @Ruthiella is hosting. I also don‘t think I need to do a star rating for each book so I‘ll just be keeping track of the cases I figured out and the ones that stumped me. I am utterly embarrassed by not being able to “solve” the secret pitch case. 🤦‍♀️

So much fun! I love matching wits with Encyclopedia Brown. I should probably be embarrassed at not solving all of the cases, but I deduced most of them, and I‘m totally okay with that. I love the format, and other than Charlie‘s creepy teeth collection, I enjoy the characters. Thanks @Ruthiella for starting the #EBBR! This has been so much fun!

Reading this month‘s #EBBR book, I wondered:

1. Why anyone would trust Bugs Meany or make a bet with him! 😂

2. Why does he wear a “Jughead hat “? Were those real?

So I looked up the hat. From Wikipedia: A whoopee cap is a style of headwear popular among youths in the mid-20th cent. in the US…made from a felt fedora hat with the brim trimmed with a scalloped cut and turned up…often decorated with buttons, badges, or bottle caps.

Who knew? 🤔
