pickWhen I‘m not feeling well, I love reaching for favorite authors. Colgan writes wonderful characters and heartwarming stories. The relationship between Issy and Grandpa Joe is sweet, loving and beautiful.

pickVery much a soft pick for me. Overall I enjoyed it but it dragged at times and Wimsey sure does prattle on. I‘m not opposed to reading more in the series but it‘s definitely not a reading priority.

pickTold from Chet‘s (🐶) POV.
Chet and his private investigator human, Bernie, look for a missing teen girl. I love the relationship between Bernie & Chet and I found Chet‘s inner monologue very entertaining.
This one checked off several boxes for me.

pickIt was a nice overview of pop culture during the 90's. It's a bit US/UK centered, but it covers a good range of topics: there's the first Iraq war, rave culture, the art scene, apocalyptic cults, Princess Di, the Internet starting to loom over everything. All in all, an interesting read.
