This book was a quick read. I enjoyed reading this book. I can see how all of the books in the series are connected. I enjoyed the characters a lot. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.
I've had to stop reading the shadow hunter series as I am so busy with animal rescues right now so I'm going to read this story and know I'll love it #disney #twistedtales #beautyandthebeast #prince #curse
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The second book in Valentino‘s Villains series focuses on the jerk beast in Beauty and the Beast. Loved how she makes Gaston a friend of the prince before he‘s turned into the beast. It would make sense those two were friends before the curse. Another good one. On to book 3!
I enjoy this Beauty and the Beast retelling. It is more from the Beast perspective, before and during the curse. There were different elements that I liked because it was like those movies about Greek mythology where the gods manipulate others actions. But I wished it could add more details during the process he knew Belle. The end was a little rushed but the book only has 214 pages. Love that cover😍This is the dust jacket and the book naked 3⭐️
This #BeautyAndTheBeast #retelling offers a new backstory for the soiled and vain prince who is cursed into becoming a beast. I appreciated the appearance of Gaston and the early connection to the prince. The audio performance is great and this is a quick and fun listen- though not my favorite re-imagining of the tale. I wanted more from the Beast‘s perspective as he was redeemed through his love for Belle #FairyTaleRetellingChallenge @Charityann
Starting my new year with two buddyreads, a Disney Retelling and cuddly Cats 🥰 I only wish I could spend the next days reading and not working😂
I hope you all had a worderful start into the new year🥰 may it be filled with amazing books for all of us!
2✨ Well, not my favorite beauty and the beast retelling. This version gives us the princes perspective. I wish the prince/beast was given a name like the book before this one did. It showed more of the transformation of the prince as he became the beast we see. The story felt forced and was pretty uninteresting. It had some twisty parts of how the beast was pretty much losing his mind, but it didn‘t talk about that much it was just there.
This is the second book in the Villains series and I enjoyed it a lot more than the first book. I gave it: 4⭐

This is a wrap up post. My goal was to read for at least 30 minutes each day. I actually averaged about 45 minutes. Wednesday was the only day I did not read since it was the first day of school and my mind was too occupied.
The day is not over so I'll be doing some more reading later on but I won't be finishing anything.

Recent book haul! I love my fairytale retellings, but Beauty and the Beast is my favorite! In fact I got “Poisoned” because I loved “Lost in a Book”.
It's not that I didn't like this book... it's that I just didn't imagine it being this way. Hearing about the witches was interesting at first, but after awhile I was like, mmhmm okay, let's get back to the Beasts perspective please.
I don't know how to rate this one. It was good. But the ending was just blah for me. I added the others in the series to my TBR list, so... I will be giving it another go.

A little prequel to Beauty and the beast ,a relatively quick read about how the prince became the beast, he really was a beastly human and best friends with Gaston. There was reference to Ursula the sea witch which has got me looking forward to reading her back story.
The writing style was a bit all over the place & a tad rushed but it‘s Disney so will always get my vote 💜
Love this cover

Watching some football, reading some books.
Absolutely love my new Beauty & the Beast book buddy from Wander Stitch Studio on Etsy. I haven't read the tagged book waiting for when I need a quick read, I've got a few of Valentino's books on my TBR trolley...I'll get to them

This was a pretty good read that explains HOW the prince became the Beast. He turned down a girl at Gastons request because she was just a lowly pig farmer, but her sisters are witches who doom him with a curse. I wished for more about him but for a juvenile book it was good.

Well it took a while but I finally have a book open again. After my wife shared the flu and the medicine for it made me even sicker... Its been a rough couple weeks. But I have had food and am reading a book, so I might live through it.
This is the second Disney Twisted Tales book I‘ve read and I‘ve loved both of them. I think this is another great perspective on a popular Disney film. I recommend it to any of my fellow Disney fans.
Second book in this series and I am still loving it. Beauty and the Beast is my all time favorite Disney movie so I was very excited to read this story. This book talks about how the Prince was cursed and how he dealt with it. Now on to the next book!
This month's #litsylovechallenge was a great one. It's the story of the beauty and the beast from the beast's view. The story even start earlier, when the beast is still a prince and three witches tell him, what will happen to him. Of course it is a mix up of several Disney fairy tales, but it was still quite entertaining. 😁😍 Thank you @IamIamIam for that.
Next book in line is my monthly #litsylovechallenge book. 😍 I am quite curious about it @IamIamIam
So I put together all my current reads for the next days... Mhm...quite a few. The Kindle and the iPad are for my current #netgalley reads. Hope to finish these books before I have to work again next week 😮😐
Having one of them days where all I want to do is cry . So my bf suggested I buy some books to cheer my self up :) managed to get some from my tbr list and I few I liked the look of . He was right books are definitely the cure to sadness :)
Interesting backstory with a different perspective but felt a bit rushed in the end. #Booked2019 #fairytaleretelling
⭐️⭐️⭐️: Final read of 2018! Interesting premise. Slow start and quick end- pacing was all wrong.
I received this very generous #kindlitsy gift from @Literary_Siren and Amazon reminded me I already own it and must move it up my TBR list. But I was very excited to be able to exchange it for a book I‘ve been drooling over, about my favorite film. Thank you so much, Jayme! 😊 @kindlitsy
Very good, it was interesting to see how much influence the sisters had on events. #blameitonlitsy
I love this series because it has a different book cover from the jacket. I received the next book in the series at #bea18 (galley) but I may buy a real copy when it's published just for the undercover. #beast

Love love LOVE these covers!
I found this book to be disappointing. To me felt like the author basically took ideas from other movies and books. The witches reminded me of the Sanderson sisters x 1. Given a great opportunity to write a twisted tale and this is what she came up with.

Do you have a special place for reading? I read all over the house, but most frequently I try and get in a few chapters before going to sleep at night. #Ampersand2018
I'm getting into beast mode before work this morning 😈❤️
Happy new year everyone! Here is my first book of 2018! What is yours? This was an interesting twist on a classic tale, where the reader gets to learn more about the Beast in his life before the curse. A short and sweet read. If you are a fan for #disney classics & don‘t mind new approaches to stories we all love - then give this book a shot! #bookreview #thebookkeepers #fantasy #youngadult #fiction #fairytales #litsyreview #firstbook2018
On my break at work and I finished this little story. I feel like it took me forever to read because the beginning and middle we're not that great to me, but towards the end it got better. I would still recommend this series to anyone who likes Disney.
I read two chapters and didn't want to go on with this book. It was to much like the actual fairy tale. I knew what was going to happen next.
So I request the second book of the Villians series by @SerenaValentino form my library has a e-book. I'm almost done with the first book.
This was a fun book! I enjoyed the backstory. Once it reached the more familiar parts of the (Disney) fairytale, it began to get a little frustrating to read, but Valentino manages to keep it fresh by alternating with her own characters. I couldn't tell the age group this book was geared toward--younger children or older children--with the words and names she chose, but overall, I really enjoyed the read.
Loved this one by Serena Valentino aswel
It was off to a good start but at some point, it starts to feel rushed; as if the author assumes that the reader has picked this up because they know the story so any potential to bring in something new or inventive to this is forgotten.
The inclusion of the additional witches doesn't really work. The book became less about the Beast and more about them.
Overall, I can see where a lot of people do like and enjoy this book but this wasn't for me.
Just got this one from Prime Reading so let's see what the fuss is about yes?
What is your favorite Disney princess movie? I'm going to have to say either Beauty and the Beast or The Little Mermaid because I remind myself of Belle 🙈 and because I am actually a mermaid.
This was an interesting perspective. I loved the narrative and the point of view. It's very different from the traditional tale we all grew up loving. #beautyandthebeast #thebeastwithing #beast #hisstory #great lead #shortread #amazingcover art
