pickI enjoy this Beauty and the Beast retelling. It is more from the Beast perspective, before and during the curse. There were different elements that I liked because it was like those movies about Greek mythology where the gods manipulate others actions. But I wished it could add more details during the process he knew Belle. The end was a little rushed but the book only has 214 pages. Love that cover😍This is the dust jacket and the book naked 3⭐️
so-soThis book has many sad parts on how this woman try to go on in her life without almost any support. But I found some part unrealistic. Sometimes I didn‘t know if I was in the past, present or just in her thoughts while she was thinking about her life. I don‘t know, it didn‘t work for me. 2.5⭐️
pickA YA Snow White retelling. It was different, morbid in someway but interesting. I enjoyed in general but I don‘t know why some authors insist to unnecessarily prolongue a story. Do they have to meet a certain amount of pages to publish a book? I don‘t matter if the books is long when the purpose is to know more the world or the characters but this was not the case. But I enjoy this author‘s retellings. 3.4⭐️
pickBook number 2 in this trilogy. I can‘t say much without spoil the story. It was ok. I liked more the first book. However, at the time I read this book, I needed something light because the first books read this month where intense. So this book was silly, made me laugh and it was simple and light. I still love Baz but that Penny is so eccentric, and unique😂 3⭐️
pickA creepy, dark, chilling retelling of Snow White. This is a graphic novel with a few dialogue or narrative but the art, the illustrations are spectacular. So pretty and the story is a good retelling, dark, gory, and twisted one, love it. But how you rate a graphic novel with limited narrative🤷🏽♀️All I know is that I was captivated by the illustrations.
pickVoya received her calling, meaning first bleeding. The ritual is that one of the ancestors will appear to assign her a task that must be completed in order to become a witch. YA fantasy with a “pinch” of sci-if which I didn‘t expect, mystery. I liked the story it was ok, entertaining but unnecessarily too long. It appeals to the importance to take decisions. I think is overrated in GR. the bleeding ritual parts were disgusting, nasty🤢3.3⭐️
so-soRenato is murdered and officer Imanol Petafunte will be in charge to investigate the case. In these 148 pages we will see a decadence of a community and in the characters that knew Renato: political corruption, decadence in values and moral, prostitution, racism, prejudice,..I liked the writing style but is some parts, (like chunks of good expressions) but for me as a whole, was sometimes confused because some parts were disconnected😬3⭐️
