I‘m laying low this weekend & planning on joining in the #FabulousFebruary #24in4 #Readathon hosted by @Andrew65 to power through more of my Feb TBR

My goals are to finish up as many of my in-process books (especially my Litsy readalong & library books) as possible.

For the #24in4 weekend, I listened to the final 2 hours of The Heir, Part 3 of My Friend Anna, and about 30% of Murder in the Snow. I think that was about 24 chapters, so I'll consider this a win!

Gotta love the complete mood-mismatch of this cover. 😂 Maybe the Russian edition? It certainly looks like a long dark teatime of the soul.

Three linked YA romances set in the same snowed-in small town around Christmas. Liked the first story by Maureen Johnson but it went downhill from there. The language has really not aged well, either. And why does Addie know the name of all the kids in her small high school except for “the Korean guy“?

My car had a service appointment today. So after shoveling a bazillion cm of snow to get out of my driveway, I took full advantage of the quiet time in the waiting room. 15 chapters in so far.

Kicked off the #24in4 by finishing the final 60 pages of this book. The overall story of Anna is compelling. However, this book, written by a one-time (for a short time) former friend of Anna's, is drawn out. Anna conned Williams into using personal & business credit cards to pay for a trip. I don't feel much sympathy for Williams as a victim. She mentioned friends and a support system, a good job, NYC life, but she seems desperate for Anna's

It has been so long since I made some time for a readathon. But I find myself with free time today. So I‘m going to try get as far as I can with this #AuthorAMonth book from my TBR, this weekend. I either really love Kate Morton or really dislike her, so I always have a little fear when I start a new one. So far so good with this one though.

My goal is to finish The Other Man (which would be more than 20 chapters) before Sept is out!
Then from October I want to make a start on some scarathlon reads, including some shorter reads as hoping to start strong!

I have a long weekend, but since I have a birthday party for my niece on Saturday, I'm going to start now. It's already tomorrow across the pond anyway. 😁

I'm starting at Ch 18 on Outrun the Moon, and since I'm terribly behind, that's my priority. Then I'll start Legends and Lattes and swap them with audio if I can.
