A book for all Gravity Falls fans. I can't really decide on the age group this was intended for. Some lines are rather grown-up, some pages seem more for a child like audience. It drags a little in the middle, but it gets better at the end. Nicely made, eclectic and of course very much Bill Cipher.
Recommended by my daughter. A fun spin on a familiar tale, with a dash of romance we all wished was in the movie. The only hiccup was that the story tended to go in circles, some repetition in conversations too. Otherwise I enjoyed it. 1/2 read on paper, 1/2 audio 🎧
Following in the footsteps of @TheBookHippie , I searched in Pinterest literally my character. I am an ♈️ Aries and these fit me. I was also surprised to discover that most of the pictures were book characters or characters/people reading books. So fitting for me. 😊
Last night was one of our favourite school events of the year! Every year, they host a Snuggle Up and Read evening. Everyone comes to the school in their pajamas, and there are all sorts of literacy focused events throughout the school. It's the most cozy form of chaos, and the kids LOVE it!

I was able to finish my friends pick for me in January. Up next will be one of my sister-in-laws pick: How to Survive Your Murder
5✨ This book was amazing! I‘ve been really liking the twisted tales I have already read so I was really excited when my friend suggested I read this one for my #12in12 personal challenge. Sally‘s character grew a lot in this story, and she helped others to be proud of who they were. I liked that even through it was based in Christmas town it was where the bad guy was, and the characters were facing the issues in the story.
Just organized my list for February's #BookSpin draw. This year I've done things a bit different and organized my list by page number so for the first time the list reorganizes each month rather than keeping the non-picked titles at the same spot. I am so very close to finishing my January pick so hopefully I can still keep up and not fall like seven novels behind this year. Fingers crossed!
Thank you for hosting @TheAromaofBooks
Very cold temperatures yesterday (high of -6 F) meant lots of cozy reading time. Finished #auldlangspine book 4.
This was a fun music inspired retelling of The Little Mermaid. I loved the Disney movie as a girl so it was delightful to find all the connections with that story & see how the author brought Ariel & Eric to a modern timeline. The music theme w/ Eric‘s up & coming band + Ariel‘s pop princess background added a fun element to the story.
