I love characters in this series and in this one two of them ended up being together, kind of at least. It was so sweet and I was so happy for them.
World is amazing with all these peculiar characters and different supernaturals. These has been light and fun to read.

Book 23 of the year
This one went back to the feel of the first two, and then went dark exploring the downside to immortal life. I really admire Carriger's ability to take some pretty horrifying imagery and still be light hearted about it.
The final Parasol Protectorate Book, and boy am I going to miss Alexia, Conall, Lord Akeldama, Ivy, Madame Lefoux and the rest of the characters in this steampunk world. Gail Carriger did a great job of ending the series, while giving the reader enough to imagine more.
I look forward to reading her other series.
This was a fitting end to the 5-book Parasol Protectorate series, filled with adventure & angst. About 60% of the way through, I worried so much about where it was headed that I did something I almost never do, and peeked at the last two chapters to make sure it ended in a way I could tolerate. It did, so I finished it. 😂 This is a fun series and I'm sure I'll pick up the spin-off books eventually. About 2 hrs done for #24B4Monday.
I have #audiobook accounts with both Libro.fm and Audible. I much prefer supporting my local indie through Libro, but there are occasionally titles I really want that are sadly Audible exclusives. 🤷🏻♀️

I confess to a serious deficit of books set in Egypt on my shelves. I thought of two from Gail Carriger's fun series. I've read Timeless, book five of the Parasol Protectorate series where Alexia Tarabotti is summoned to Alexandria by the Vampire Queen. Imprudence, is in my #TBR stack & is the second book of The Custard Protocol & features Alexia's daughter, Prudence. Surely someone must have had to #WalkLikeAnEgyptian in them.
Another super fun trek through the universe of Victorian society with werewolves, vampires and other super natural beings. Sorry to be done with this five book series. Thanks to Gail Carriger for a magnificent romp! I look forward to reading more of her writing.
😱 The horror! Milk has gone bad. About the only tea I like with lemon is Lady Grey. Maybe it's the hints of citrus? Lots of surprises in Timeless Gave me all the feels! Biffy and Lyle. 😍 I want a ride in Dandelion Fluffy Upon a Spoon aka Buffety. Madam Lefoux is always a delight. That ending! 😲

Yikes! The #ParasolProtectorate read-along started this one in May 6th. I guess I‘d better pay better attention because we‘re getting to the ones I‘ve been saving.
Fantastic, as always. I‘m so sad it‘s the last book in the series. I loved it so much. Book 2 for #24B4Monday finished.

Starting book 5 and the surprises keep coming!❤️😍❤️
Loving Lyall and Biffy in this book!
I finished this while cleaning today and I‘m blown away!!!! So many twists and turns that I never saw coming! A new queen is born, Goldrenrod is discovered, egypt is explored, and sooo much more!!! This was a fantastic series and I‘m so sad this was the last book!!! But I can proudly say it is one of my FAVORITE series!!!! I hope she will write more one day and I hope it will become a tv series as well!!!! Cheers to Alexia Maccon!!! 🎉🎉❤️😘
Audio-cooking for my Pop Pops 93rd Birthday today! He requested oyster stew so this is my first time trying it. It smells yummy! This is what I love about visiting my family I get to do stuff that I wouldn‘t get to do if I was at home! It‘s been a hard year for my grandfather so I‘m glad I get to be here with him today!! Plus this audiobook rocks!!!!! The Parasoluniverse is one of my fav places to be! ❤️
I started this audiobook this morning! This is the 5th and last book in the Parasol Protectorate! 😩This has been my favorite series I have read in 2018. The start of this book reaffirmed why! I loved the bath scene with Prudence, I was laughing so hard! These characters have become like real life friends to me. The audiobooks have brought the books to life! This series is one for all ages and one I think EVERY single person should read!
Day 26 Time
I'm grateful for the time that I spend doing things that I love. Usually music is involved but I also take any spare time to read! 🕖

I great wrap-up for this series. Some surprises in store for many of the characters, which lead in to several other series. Can't wait to see what's in store for them all.

Ah these are so much fun. 😍 My Reading brain is all refreshed and I‘m ready to plunge into something new. I recommend Gail Carriger for anyone who needs a romp with non-angsty werewolves and vampires, lots of laughs and a smattering of romance. Ah Biffy, I do love you so. 😝
I can‘t believe that my foray into steampunk is complete!! What a great conclusion to this series!! And I‘m thankful that this isn‘t a real goodbye knowing I have the first book about Prudence waiting for me on Audible!!
In my world of books it is very sad when I find a new series that I adore and then find out it has very few books in it. This is how I feel coming to the end of this awesome series. At only five books I really want more! I‘ll be picking up some of her other books that occur in the same world and can only hope that they are as great! 4.5🌟 #85of2018 #blameitonlitsy
I‘ve been very delayed in posting because iv been listening to an a absurd number of books...I‘ve finished this series, finished book seven of the Outlander series and started the 8th and am also listening to the Magicians series....I‘ve been trying be be out and about in this glorious weather so listening to books helps that. And helps me clean lol 😂
Enjoyed this fun series so much I had to buy the final book new on Amazon Prime.
Can we stop and talk a min on how I just pretty much stole 4 books for $12?!?! #bookhaul #kindleismybff

Loved the ending! So glad I discovered this author. This world is so much fun! I'm adding ride in Dandelion Fluffy Upon a Spoon aka Buffety to my #fictionalbucketlist.

Gail Carriger did it again! I loved this latest installment of the Parasol Protectorate. Alexia et al have tremendous adventures in both England and Egypt.
The story moves at an excellent pace & was very entertaining. I started reading Gail Carriger with the Custard Protocol, and I was thrilled to have so many of my questions answered & to have drawn so many connections.
I unreservedly recommend this book & the rest of the series.
#AuthorILove Gail Carriger for #17booklove. I still need to finish up Timeless. 😳 I have recommended these books to all sorts of people & everyone has enjoyed them. 😍
The last in the Parasol Protectorate series, but certainly not the least. I think the series grows stronger as it comes to a close. The usual shenanigans occur and there's a lot of room left for future fun times, just not with the same set of characters because some of them are mortal. Overall, it's a fun universe that Carriger has created - light steampunk with a paranormal twist.
When I originally read this series I didn't get to the last book. I am nearly finished and let me tell you it had better not end the way it looks to end or I won't be able to go to work tomorrow. #24in48 #readathon
Finished up the Parasol Protectorate series on the last night of 2016. What a fun read! It'll take some time for me to get back to that world, as I have other books to read. Hoping to get back one day... :)
Just finished "The Parasol Protectorate" series and loved it! Bring on more from the Parasolverse! Now to decide between the finishing school series or the Custard Protocol series
after a long shift, nothing says relaxing than a good book and #HotChocolate :)
The discovery Alexia makes about water and preternatural is pretty interesting. The absorption of aether and its role in these novels is great world building. I wish it for addressed more with Prudence.
