Bk3 of July & Bk2 of #JubilantJuly #readathon is done. I think audiobooks might be the way to go for now, at least I‘m finishing them! I was pleasantly surprised by this testosterone thriller, the MC does some awful things but I completely understood why he was doing it & was cheering him on. The narrator was perfect for the character & the fact the author had been a SEAL made it believable. 4.5⭐️ #BookspinBingo #SeriesRead2022 #AudiobookChallenge

Oh do I wish I could visit Coopers Chase! Just as good as the first in the series, and the audiobook continues to be fantastically narrated. When do we get a 3rd book? Hoping this gets a TV adaptation at some point too!

Laughterhp I‘m on hold for the first one at my library! I‘ve seen so many good things about these books. 3y
Cinfhen Agreed!! Can‘t wait for the TV series although I think I read Steven Spielberg is making it into a movie 🍿 3y
alisiakae @Laughterhp I hope you enjoy it! @cinfhen I hadn't heard, that's exciting! 3y

Cinfhen How are you feeling?? Is the rest of your family still Covid free?? 3y
alisiakae @Cinfhen yes, everyone else is covid free! I'm still quarantined in the guest bedroom for another few days, although I am emerging masked while everyone is out of the house today. Feeling a lot better, just dealing with an extreme fatigue and mild headache that is lingering. Thanks for checking in! 3y
Clwojick Hope you‘re feeling in stop shape soon! 💖 3y
marleed I‘m so happy you are on the mend! …@greatjoy69 made one of her infrequent posts to Instagram yesterday. That could brighten your day! 3y
alisiakae @marleed I saw that this morning! I LOVED finding that on IG. Also really curious if the recent post is tied into a setting in the next book. (edited) 3y

Bk12 of August & Bk1 of #LittensDressedInBlood is done! Read as an audiobook while #audioknitting the narration was brilliant. Especially the ads at the beginning of each chapter, they set the mood perfectly. A blend of satire & horror, you can just imagine what the atmosphere would be like in one of those IKEA stores after midnight. Add in the site of a 19thC prison. Nope. Uh uh. #PickYourPoison #PennyPerPage #BookspinBingo #AudiobookChallenge

Bk23 of June, Bk16 of #JoysOfJune #readathon & Bk7 of #LittenListen is done! This one was a reread as an audiobook on audible. I love all of Kate Morton‘s books, the fact she‘s an Aussie author doesn‘t hurt either🇦🇺Her sweeping stories always involve a beautiful manor house somewhere in England, sometimes with an Aussie connection. They invoke such a soft English summer feel, far removed from our harsh humid ones here. Loved it. #BookspinBingo👇

rockpools Wow! 23 books this week? That‘s incredible! 4y
Lizpixie @rockpools no lovely, 16 books this week! I‘ve read 23 so far this month👍 I‘m not quite that quick unfortunately.😋 4y

Bk22 of June, Bk15 of #JoysOfJune #readathon & Bk6 of #LittenListen is done! Another NF true crime/memoir, this is written & narrated by a reporter who worked with Michelle McNamara, before her death in 2016. After doing the crime beat for a Long Island newspaper, Jensen decides he wants to try & solve crimes, not just write about them. Teaming up with McNamara & on his own investigations he tries to bring answers to grieving families. 👇👇

Bk6 of June & Bk3 of #LittenListen is done! I actually read the 3rd book first so now I‘m backtracking & finished the 1st book in this Alien canon. Another full cast recording, it was brilliantly done with Rutger Hauer playing Ash, the rogue Cyborg/AI from the first movie. It‘s a side story where Ripleys lifeboat is picked up by a mining ship who are having their own issues after stumbling on a nest in a mine. #SeriesRead2021 #StackingTheSeries👇

Bk4 of June & Bk2 of #LittenListen is done. Today was not one of my best days but I managed to add this audiobook to my total & I‘m over halfway through the 2nd Midsomer Murder on ebook, so I accomplished something! This was set in the timeline of Aliens, a little bit of Ripley but mostly about Newts backstory & how she ended up alone on a station full of monsters. I loved it was a full cast recording, audible does a great job with those. 👇

Bk10 of #JumpStart2021 #PickYourPoison #ByAJournalist #AudiobookChallenge #AussieAuthor21 #Pageathon #CloakDaggerChal #ReadItAgainSam #PennyPerPage #362cents & #20in4 #readathon is done! A reread by audiobook again, it also has an interview with both the author & narrator at the end, which was brilliant. Her 3rd novel which isn‘t a Falk book,it‘s set on a QLD cattle station owned by 3 bros, until one is found dead, miles from his well stocked car.

Dan_1988 I‘ve heard a lot about this Jane Harper. Is she any good? 4y
Crazeedi @Dan_1988 I've really liked all her books, and eagerly waiting for her new one 4y
Dan_1988 @Crazeedi I will have to add her to the TBR pile then haha 4y
