Thanks for the tag @ElizaMarie this was a perfect opportunity to gush over my new favorite YA Summer Road Trip book and the amazing corresponding playlist!
Favorite summer fruit is watermelon, veggies is any!!
I‘ve never seen a whale or dolphin in the ocean!
@Gissy anything responses for #thoughtfulthursday ?
Yes I did just stay up to finish this book! I loved it! In so many epic ways!!! And there is a playlist on Spotify!
🎵🎶A nearly perfect road trip playlist..all it‘s missing is some Hamilton 😉

I am also participating in #medievalathon this month hosted by @HollyHeartsBooks . I'm trying to match the prompts up to the order my #bookspin books were chosen for the #bookspinbonanza to see what happens to my medieval character. This is my journal spread for it. I might be having entirely too much fun. Lol
Last month, I struggled with reading good books, but I am happy to announce that this month has started off strong with a 5 star read! I loved this road trip read so much. I liked how the romance took a backseat (pun intended lol) to the characters finding themselves.
This was my #bookspin book for the month of May and counts toward #MountTBR. On to the next! #bookspinbonanza
@TheAromaofBooks
The #bookspin numbers have been drawn and I am diving straight into my number one pick this morning. I'm hoping to make it through quite a few on my list. 😬
I‘m a sucker for a road trip story.
What state do I choose for #ReadtheUSA2020? The state it started in, finished in, or one between I haven‘t read yet? 🤷🏻♀️

Who doesn‘t want to read about a cross country road trip between two strangers? Along the way, both of them deal with things that are holding them back from moving on with their lives. And of course there might be a little romance involved 😊 This was a very cute, fun read and books like this are what usually get me out of a reading slump.
Today I needed some light hearted reading or viewing.
This is hitting the spot perfectly.

Sometimes a detour is just what you need
Amy has to make it from California to Connecticut, but after a traumatic accident she doesn‘t drive. She finds herself road tripping with a boy she barely knows. I really loved the pacing of the novel. It balances serious issues with funny bits and keeps things moving. There are receipts, playlists, scrapbook notes & photos mixed into each chapter. Perfect for a road trip!
“It‘s not about the destination. It‘s getting there that‘s the good part.”
The unique style in which this book was written was great. I loved discovering along with Amy & Roger all the places they traveled. Meeting friends along the way. I was glad for the personal growth and discoveries they made in their travels too. The song lyrics as titles was also great I loved when they finally made sense in each chapter.
Amy is not dealing with her father‘s death. Roger isn‘t facing up to the fact that his girlfriend dumped him. Together they are taking a detour and just might find destination “happily ever after”. Quiet and emotional.
For my next #summerlovinbookchallenge #tbrandbeyond pick I got “travel.” This book was recommended and I love the addition of the playlists the characters are listening to as they drive. This is one of my favorite songs back when I was really in to pop punk music. So glad to see it in the book!
#iwanttoholdyourhand #heyjune In this book, Amy & Roger are brought together by the need to get across the country. They are not looking to take a detour in any way, each having their own issues to deal with. But as is often the case, “the best discoveries always happened to the people who weren‘t looking for them.” So before they reach their destination, they may end up #hopelesslydevotedtoyou #JuneItsElectrifying
I did a re-read on this book. A fun romance with a road trip story. I was in a mood to read it again. I hope everyone had a good Saturday! #litsy #kindle #paperwhite #kindlefire
This book is a must read. I read it a while back and absolutely loved it. I know this book starts at the beginning of summer, but I think it's a perfect read for the end of summer and early fall.

A re-read for me. I enjoyed this one, obviously. It was one I picked up and had never heard of the book or author, so it was a nice surprise. Good story telling, good dealing with grief. I was annoyed with the mom, but when I put myself in her place, it makes me feel sorta panicky...so believable, even if I didn't like the character.
Love this picture with the trees and clouds in the background and absolutely love this book, which I read about 4 times I think? It's such a wonderful story about death, a big adventure, the summer and love of course☺️💕
This book just gets me every time for some reason. It's fun and romantic and while that's usually not really my style, I can't help loving this book.
Reading my first book for BookTube- A-Thon 2017!

Picked up this book to reread on my mini road trip last week and still enjoyed it a lot!
"Tomorrow will be better.”
“But what if it‘s not?” I asked.
“Then you say it again tomorrow. Because it might be. You never know, right? At some point, tomorrow will be better."

What's your dream travel destination? I've always wanted to go to either London or Italy.

YA road trip/ romance. Enjoyable. I think I was a bit generous on GR giving it 3.5, probably closer to 3⭐️ Probably would be higher if I were a teen.
It's not about the destination. It's getting there that's the good part.

It's my 12th year wedding anniversary today, so the husband and I went on a day trip. We got up early to go to the Prairie. We got there before the sunrise, so we hiked up to peak and watched the sun rise. It was absolutely perfect. Such a peaceful moment to share with my best friend.

I needed a light read and I've never read Morgan Matson. Not far into it, but enjoying the travel journal pics and doodlings (who knew this wasn't a word? Lol)
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do!! Someday, I want to travel the world seeing everything I can and writing about my experiences. I am actually going on a trip very soon, and I'm excited for that new adventure!
Amy & Roger's Epic Detour is a book about two people who take an epic road trip across the country. It's the ultimate traveling novel!!
Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? I would go to London!
I'm currently on page 109 of 344 in Amy & Roger's Epic Detour and I am loving it. I really want to go on a road trip now. My favorite things about this book are the playlists and artwork that's included within the book that just brings the book up to another level.
And Oh my gosh I just loved Roger and Amy‘s friendship! They were a bit awkward at first because, you know, they have not seen each other since they were little kids. But then they were fantastic together as friend, and they really understood each other! Their friendship is friendship goals! I am telling you!

Book haul from my bookstore visit over the weekend. 😍 I showed some serious restraint and only bought 4 books (Staged to Death was given to me). Now just to keep from reading them until I make it through finals week.... 😁🙈
