Where It All Lands | Jennie Wexler

I love getting unexpected #BookMail, and enjoy it even more when it is a debut novel with themes of love, grief, and questions of "what if?". Thank you to Wednesday Books for sending me this finished copy of #WhereItAllLands by Jennie Wexler.⁣

I know a lot of BookTubers got their end of the year videos up in December. Bear with me in January because I‘m just getting mine up now. I love making graphs for my reading stats and I‘m excited to share them with you! You can check out my latest video here: https://youtu.be/1BNNSCPUkoo

abookishbutterfly @EadieB Cool! Thanks for sharing your stats. It looks like you read a lot of books you really enjoyed. That definitely makes for a good reading year! I don‘t rate the books that I DNF, either. 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore I read a lot of series from authors that I have read for years so I know their books are ones that I will enjoy. 5y

It‘s time to find out if my husband pays attention to me when I talk about my beloved books. New video here: https://youtu.be/Z0-j0PeOZbk

#booktuber #bookgame #bookvideo #bookchallenge #letstalkaboutbooks #bookedforlife #booksiveread

EadieB @Butterflyamore Loved the game and I was surprised Josh got so many right! I‘ve read Crawdads, Whisper Man, Ordinary Grace and Matthew Dicks book. Enjoyed them all. I have Sleepwalker, Speak and Racing in the Rain but have not read them. Didn‘t make a list of the books but I think that‘s all I can remember. I‘ll have to watch the video again in the morning and see if I missed any more. I‘ll have to give my husband a test! lol 5y
abookishbutterfly @EadieB I was pretty impressed with how well he did! 5y

Scochrane26 There‘s several fall releases I can‘t wait for. I‘ve already pre-ordered The Art of Theft (lady Sherlock series) & Wayward Son (rainbow Rowell). (edited) 5y
abookishbutterfly @Scochrane26 I‘ll have to look those up. I haven‘t heard of them! I did preorder His Hideous Heart and I can barely wait for September to get here so I can have it in my possession! 5y
abookishbutterfly @Cortg Thank you! I got it for my birthday last year and I love it so much! 5y
abookishbutterfly @Alfoster It sounds sooooo amazing! I read the first page but have to hold off from going any further because I need to finish some of the others that I‘ve started. But I can tell that I really like her writing style! 5y

So many amazing books have been published this summer. Let‘s talk about the ones we are especially excited about! You can see my picks here: https://youtu.be/PDvf16jCb2A

#booktuber #summerreading #tbr #toberead #goodbooks

EadieB @Butterflyamore Interesting video! The books I‘m putting on my TBR: The Doll Factory, Stolen Things and Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe. I have read about 40% of Recursion but don‘t know what to think of it. Probably have to wait until the ending before I decide. I have a NetGalley to read by Mary Kubrica called The Other Mrs which I am looking forward too. I have loved all her other books. Have you read her? If not, you would like her! 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore also looking forward to reading from NetGalley: Playing Dead (from your last video) and What You Did by Claire McGowan - love her books too! Also looking forward to What Rose Forgot by Nevada Barr from NetGalley too and 2 true crime books about Ted Bundy and The Yorkshire Ripper which are from NetGalley. (edited) 5y
abookishbutterfly @EadieB I‘ve only read The Good Girl by Mary Kubica, which I enjoyed, so I‘m sure I‘ll read more by her soon! I‘m glad you‘re adding those to your TBR. They sound so good! 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore Yes thanks for the good tips! 5y

EadieB @Butterflyamore I liked this book haul video. Lots of interesting books. I usually write the books down but I was folding my wash so I will have to watch the video again. But here are some books I recently got from a library sale: 3 books by Rachel Caine (Stillhouse Lake, Killman Creek and Wolfhunter River). 3 books by Stuart Neville (The Ghosts of Belfast, Stolen Souls and Those We Left Behind). Got Swimming Lessons by Claire Fuller. To be Con't (edited) 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore From a library sale: Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann, A Game For All The Family by Sophie Hannah.
Also got these from NetGalley:
What You Did by Claire McGowan, Ted Bundy's Murderous Mysteries by Kevin Sullivan, On the Trail of the Yorkshire Ripper by Richard Charles Cobb, What Rose Forgot by Nevada Barr and Recursion by Blake Crouch.
ARC from LibraryThing: The Words Between Us by Erin Bartels
(edited) 5y
abookishbutterfly @EadieB It sounds like you got so many good ones! 5y

My latest video, in which I talk about Harry Potter, social anxiety, and Brigid Kemmerer (an interesting mix), is now up for viewing! https://youtu.be/ry1uMdIpU1U

#booktuber #readingharrypotterforthefirsttime #meetinganauthor #signedbyauthor

EadieB @Butterflyamore Loved your video and your hair today! I've never read Harry Potter either but my husband has read all the books. His birthday is July 30th and that was around the time a new one would come out so that was his birthday present all those years. I have watched all the movies and loved them so to now read the books would be redundant for me and I don't really read fantasy. I'm glad you enjoyed them. 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore I have a bit of a social anxiety too but different from yours. I used to be very active in my community. President of the Woman's Club of Perkasie and I was involved in local politics and became to first woman president of Perkasie Borough Council which was probably the worst experience of my entire life and I was involved for 12 years. I now cannot stand to be around negative and complaining people. I food shop in another town. 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamore Anyway glad you were able to meet the author and I wouldn't feel bad about thinking you are weird as I find myself very weird and I think everyone is a bit weird in their own right. I have come to the point in my life that I really don't care anymore what people think about me. I be my weird self and if they don't like it then they can move on. I would never think you lacked some self confidence because the videos don't show it. 5y
