This is the best book I‘ve ever bought 🥰
After hearing about it since 2015, it was finally my turn to see Hamilton…
But now I‘m on a train line that has seats like this and 🙃 I‘m wondering again why I can‘t teleport…

I realized I haven't been posting much lately but that doesn't mean I haven't been reading. I have just been a bit of a funk lately. So how about another Hamilton picture because Daveed Diggs as Thomas Jefferson always puts a smile on my face.
I won't lie I may have checked this book out from the library just so I could use it for a few pictures lol. When Funko announced they were FINALLY doing versions of my 2 favorite characters from Hamilton I knew I had to snatch them up right away. I personally think King George & Thomas Jefferson should've been released from the get go but at least I have them now 😍🤓
This book is as beautiful as the show and the man who wrote it. The attention to detail is phenomenal.
5/5 ⭐ I really enjoyed this book. I‘m always fascinated when I listen to commentary or in case in this book the inner workers of the author‘s mind.
I am now reading the second Hamilton book… though this one is about the musical. #audiobook
To my fellow Ungrateful Colonials, I wish you a Happy Treason Day! (I have no idea where this meme came from but it‘s my favorite thing about the 4th of July) I will be celebrating by watching Hamilton, reading, protecting my dogs from sky booms, and supporting Indigenous-owned independent bookstores, because I recognize we live on stolen land and this is the least I can do.
20-23 Apr 2021 (audiobook)
This received the Audie Award for 2017. Not sure I understand why. It is an interesting story for anyone mildly obsessed with the musical but seems more appropriate to the large format hardcover copy (which we also have) with its illustrations and full libretto. The audiobook gives access to the PDF but it‘s difficult to view whilst walking or driving! My so-so is therefore for the format rather than Lin‘s story.
Unexpected extra day in Maine. Snow storm and a super intense migraine kept me off the roads today. Enjoying some Lafayette.
I came very late to the Hamilton-obsession, listening to the soundtrack out of curiosity for the first time early 2019. I was SO SMITTEN I immediately bought this book and the Ron Chernow biography, despite being Belgian and not caring a twig about the American Revolution. Lin-Manuel Miranda is an absolute GOD. One of the best nights of my life was finally seeing the play on a London stage, February 2020.
Spending a quiet afternoon reading and knitting. I anticipate adding a cup of hot chocolate to the mix shortly.
I had to put my sweet Squeak to sleep on Aug 4th. I haven‘t posted about it because I‘ve been too sad. It was so difficult to say goodbye to a pet that I‘ve spent 18 years loving. But today I adopted two little kittens, so I think it‘s time to share about Squeak. She won‘t be forgotten any time soon, but I hope to share some pics of my new girls in the next couple days. You know, when they stop hiding under the bed😺😺
I began by reading this on the Kindle app but quickly tired of the format. My dear friend was nice enough to lend me her beautiful hardcover edition! The reading of the lyrics wouldn‘t be as enjoyable for me if I hadn‘t been listening to the album on repeat for a few weeks.
I‘ve been watching Hamilton ‘Non Stop‘ this last month. You‘d think ‘That Would Be Enough‘ but how could I ‘Say No To This‘ amazing book. It takes you to ‘The Room Where it Happened.‘ I am ‘Helpless‘ and ‘Satisfied‘. I hope I get ‘My Shot‘ to see it live where it will ‘Blow Us All Away‘. Until then ‘l‘ll Wait For It.‘ Book 70 5⭐️
Love audiobooks AND Hamilton? Book Riot has a great list of audiobooks narrated by original Hamilton cast members. PS is it wrong that I was ROTF when I read that King George reads about serial killers 😂

I saw this in the West End and already have all the feels from watching it on the telly
Cute pet pic for @4thhouseontheleft of my not quite obedient puma P. Stash (aka Pistachio) claiming my Hamilton tote bag as his own.
So glad to see update your daughter is recovering! ❤️
I finally got to watch Hamilton on Disney+ & my musical loving heart can not get enough! I have had the songs stuck in my head all day. The beauty of an empty library...it means I can listen to the soundtrack while I work.
Streaming Hamilton with movie snacks ! Perfect Saturday night. Happy holiday weekend 🥳
Happy Hamil-film Day everyone! In honor of this glorious occasion I give you my Hamil-gimp! On Sept. 13, 2019, my wife and I had 6th row tickets to the touring production here in Philly. I pretty much skipped to our Uber on the way and my left foot made acquaintance with a sinkhole causing my right ankle to buckle and collapse. I felt the pop, I HEARD the pop, but I was not to be deterred. The Uber driver pressed: “Theater or hospital?” 👇🏼
Today I'm pressing ⏸ on #MyNameIsAlexanderHamiltonReadAlong so I can press ▶️ on #Hamilfilm 🖥

I couldn‘t resist passing on this good advice from General George Washington, via @HamiltonMusical on Twitter. 😊#HamAtHome
I‘M NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT... to spot Lin Manuel Miranda‘s signature on our third floor Author Wall! He made a surprise visit to Strand Book Store today, and we‘re still reeling 📚💕
I‘ll have to wait for the music until Dec 8th. 🎫⭐️
I went to the Hamilton Exhibition today. As a dramaturg, it was really interesting to be paying a premium price for what was is essentially dramaturgy when my career has been hindered by lack of dramaturgy budgets. Also, I wish the interactive dramaturgical elements had been a little more expanded/dynamic. But it was absolutely gorgeous and they were so thoughtful about the information they presented.

I‘m here! That is a pic of the print of my dress too.
So excited I got to see Hamilton in my hometown Austin last night!!! And extra excited I got to meet Marcus Choi aka George Washington!! Representation really does matter—I can‘t express how thrilling it was for half-Asian me to see an Asian actor playing this part. I teared up at his first entrance. And his performance was fantastic! Such a commanding stage presence. 🇺🇸🎶
Still trying to process that I actually got to see Hamilton in my hometown Austin last night!!! And I got autographs! Nik Walker (Aaron Burr, sir!)—ok, there are a lot of really great actors in the #philiptour but he was on fire!! Tremendous stage presence.🔥 Aaaand Marcus Choi (George Washington), who also commanded the stage with powerful presence and rocked that #asianrep. 👊
