Listening to Rachel McAdams narrating this novel was such a treat! She was able to bring so much life and character to the story that I‘m not sure I would‘ve gotten if I had read it myself. Now I need to watch the Netflix show and read the graphic novel and get a nice hard bound set of all the books.

A disturbing look at how a little boy grows up with violence and poverty.

Interesting interpretation of the classic novel, but I kept thinking of Disney‘s A Christmas Carol while reading it. Goofy made a great Marley.

I liked it very much until I got to the end. He lost me after the fifth time he referenced his own publications. That got annoying really quickly but it was still a fascinating listen on audio.

Finished this book today and I‘m still not sure how I feel about it. It was beautifully written with rich details and language however I have absolutely no Idea what the plot was. It felt like the story ended half way through but the characters didn‘t get the memo so they just kept going for another 250 pages. It had an “Alice in Wonderland” vibe.

I picked this book for a fall reading challenge on Goodreads and I really liked it. I don‘t read cozy mysteries very often and it was nice to read something different. I loved learning about bee keeping while solving a murder in a picturesque Wisconsin town. It was delightful!

RIP Terry Goodkind, your work was my first taste of epic fantasy and I will be forever grateful. I‘ve read Wizards First Rule three times in my life and every time I finish it I‘m left emotionally spent. Your words will be missed.

I got to choose October‘s book for my book club! I thought “The Rules of Magic” would be a fitting selection for the month!

Started reading these comics after my daughter cast them off (this is book three of twelve installments). If you haven‘t watched the original 80s movies then you‘ll be lost but I‘m enjoying them so far!

This was definitely a naughty read with a sweet ending but the dialogue made it so-so.

Book was wonderful. I just finished reading it, it‘s so good I‘m letting my kid read it. I thought the combination of gardening, a gay love story and the supernatural was endearing. This was my type of comic book!

So my hotel was in Korea town in NYC and I found a bookstore where all the books are in Korean!

Seems like a good deal for $3.95

I have mixed feelings about going into an amazon bookstore but I gotta feed the addiction!
