I've discovered recently that children's books are perfect for late night anxiety!
This was a cute, simple little book full of penguin rhymes (actually, by now I don't remember if there were rhymes). I loved the two pages of penguin types at the end, and the dorky orca Illustration (not included above, but worth seeing). #penguin #ChildrensBooks #PictureBook #NonFiction

Spent an enjoyable few hours this afternoon ‘cataloguing‘ my Penguins onto a spreadsheet. 🐧🐧🐧
I have 81 in total - bought in two ‘batches‘ by my husband. The second of the two gifts was a set of around 50 owned by a P.R Purcell, who wrote his / her name in most of the books. The photo is from a Penguin actually published in 1941 so they must have owned that one from new.
I‘ve shelved them in number order rather than alphabetically...🤔

I know pretty much everyone here is great at picking out books as gifts. Just in case you have that one troublesome person you can‘t figure out thought, we Penguins are here to help. We‘ve been doing this hotline for a few years now and people love it. And we do too because we love books. (We also don‘t just rec our own titles.) I‘ve been doing it since we started. I can‘t guarantee you‘ll get me but we‘re all great!

2) We get together with my dad's side of the family. I'm hosting this year, which is kind of stressful!

I hit a new high (low?) in book buying. The mail lady just handed me the whole tub since it was all for me. I love working at a bookstore, employee discounts are the best. (And by the best I mean A Major Problem.) 10 more letters and my Penguin Drop Caps set is complete!
