Absolutely love this series! This time Hilda joins the scouts and is distracted by little nissi (elves) that are getting kicked out of their houses. Also there is a big scary black hound terrorizing the neighborhood. Wonderful graphics, funny story and just love Hilda all around.

Snow day! May not seem like a big deal for people in the North, but we don't get this much snow in Houston....like ever. It is quite peaceful to sit here with my book and coffee and watch the giant flakes fall from the sky
Jace & I read these for #foodandlit this month. Strega Nona is set in Italy for #Jubilee - and the others are all set in The Netherlands. Strega Nona was very cute, and I also really liked The Hero of Little Street, which has no words but is quite the adventure when a little boy gets sucked into a 17th century painting in Holland. 🇮🇹🇳🇱

Our first snow day of the school year…and it kinda sucks because it‘s also the first day of assessment week…which means everything pushes ahead a day. 🤪 Still, I am hoping to get a pile of marking done and maybe finish my current read and make some cupcakes to bring to the kids tomorrow. I have already shovelled, but will have to go back out once the plow has come along.
