I've picked 60 of my favorite books to reread in 2026 as part of my birthday celebrations.
Starting with first book I remember. Someone gave it to me, I'm assuming right before I started Kindergarten. Best part was it had a character with my name - Annette. (Didn't become Annie until later.)
I took with me when I left home. Obviously that one didn't survive the house fire but I found a replacement on Ebay for $5. 🤓
Book 1 #6Ofor60

I was thinking of hosting a #BlindDateWithaBook event in February - any interest?
Here‘s how it works. First - it‘s NOT A SWAP. More like the Trapped in a Spooky House game. You share a TBR list, and your match chooses 5 books from that list for you to pick from. Your match does NOT share the titles, but just some key facts, like genre, themes, etc. You choose your book “blind” and then your match reveals the title, and you read it. Who‘s in?

Some of my 2026 books for #KindredSpiritsBuddyRead #USPresidents and #PROUST2026
I‘ll be reading an ebook version of Swann‘s Way so I can enlarge the font, but referring to my mom‘s BOTM copy to keep track of page count. There‘s a bookmark that indicates she made it to page 29—let‘s see if I can get farther. 😆

With the holiday chaos, I've neglected to post a #KindredSpiritsBuddyRead schedule for January and beyond...but here it is now!
We'll start with an #LMMReread of Magic for Marigold, then it's on to #LMMAdjacent reads: Elizabeth Gaskell's biography of Charlotte Bronte, and Tish Plays the Game. Then we can decide if we want to read/re-read Jane Eyre together. We'll jump back into the #LMMJournals sometime in March or April!

The final decision between The Rise of Kyoshi and The Tower of Nero was SO close. I chose TRoK because I think it's more objectively good, while my opinion on TToN is more emotional. Also, I've had a recent resurgence in my ATLA obsession, so that might have something to do with it. Happy 2026, everyone!!

Wonderful beautiful picture book. Its a wordless story about a robot who tends to the animals in a neglected zoo. A heavy rainfall comes and the robot has to figure out how to move the animals to safety. Cute ending. The illustrations throughout are just amazing.

Frosty!!
