The first question today is “Do you believe in second chances?” and this is my response. I didn‘t know I was going to have so much to say about it but I did.

The second question says to tag a book where I feel like the character got a second chance. I don‘t really know of any books. Usually when I think of books with second chances, I think of the second chance romance books but I haven‘t read very many of those.

I‘ve been working on my book journal the last week or 2, I work on it at slow times so it‘s taken a bit. It‘s not fancy but it will work.
Best of is for 4-5 ⭐️ reads
Not Great is for DNF or 1 ⭐️ reads
Goals are things I would like to accomplish with my reading this year, yes the sticker has one of my goals on it 😊 another goal is to actually remember to use this journal LOL 😆

I‘m enjoying the book journal I started this year. It helps me keep track of everything I‘m currently reading as well since I‘m in the middle of 7 books to complete several reading challenge prompts. I like having a lot of options when deciding what to read but I try to make sure they aren‘t similar plots otherwise I get confused 😄

So this is not a great picture… But I had to take a moment to laugh at myself. I haven‘t done a bullet journal in about a year and a half, but I decided I wanted one for my books this year. Went online and ordered it, and somehow ended up with this monstrosity. It‘s so big it wouldn‘t even fit in my big purse.

So for the last 3 days I have been trying to find my reading journal. Turns out I left it at work. I was really afraid Josh accidentally burned it. But here it is. Today I will work on all my winter games points and catch up because I needed this book for record keeping.

Now the can umm drum. Do I continue this book for 2022 or should I start a new one. I started this book in Sept 2020. Thoughts? I have 30 pages left in this book.

LibrarianRyan @mabell we had a lot of boxes and mailing enevelopes and old bills on the table that we burn for privacy reasons. I had some old magizines sitting on the table with it that Josh did burn. I was afraid it accidentally got added in. 3y

I didn‘t understand why people write down what books they‘ve read. I have them on my shelves, isn‘t that enough? After almost buying the same book for the THIRD time, I‘ve decided to start writing them down. Maybe this will help them stay in my head a little longer.

Scochrane26 I read more than I used to, & my memory isn‘t as good as in my 20‘s. So, it helps me to keep track of books I have read. (edited) 5y

marleed If I write down what I read with just a couple sentence about my thoughts it really helps me remember what I read. Also, I don‘t keep every book I read so I like having a physical touchy feely thing for the effort. 5y

TheAromaofBooks Yes, I am in love with this simple reading log and have been recommending it to everyone! 😆 For challenges, I have been setting up some pages in my bullet journal. Thanks to the same reading log you have pictured, every book I read now has a number (reading log volume + number book in that volume), so I can cross-reference from my challenge pages that a book is #1.57 (vol. 1, book 57) or whatever. Part of this is my love of overcomplication 😁 5y

I started a book #journal last June intending to track how many books I read, the reading challenge prompts they fit, ratings, & possibly add a few favourite quotes. It wasn‘t long before I fell behind. My last entry is from Sept. 2018 & it‘s incomplete! I keep thinking I should try again but my brain insists I fill in the missing months & that seems such a daunting task. I may need to start fresh with a new journal. 🤔 #SelfImprovementSept

Trigger Warning: Pregnancy Loss

A year ago today we took a trip to Savannah, GA because I had miscarried our baby. Those pictures showed up today. This morning I took a pregnancy test. It was negative. Feeling a lot of emotions but trying to be kind to myself. Sometimes life is hard. And sad. And full of loss.

I'm kind of in love with this moleskin book journal I got from Barnes & Noble! 😍 It's alphabetized, has places for thoughts and quotes, and came with stickers also. It's pretty awesome! I know that this type of thing is sort of pointless what with goodreads and other sites to track reading and such, but there's just something super awesome and rewarding about physically writing it down and carrying it with you! 🤗💕📚

Next....look at all the treats!! I'm super pumped for this. Mini eggs and Pull-N-Peels are my obsession! And I haven't had sour bottles in years. I am in 🖤 with the infinity scarf and journal. Galaxy theme is always a winner in my books! I squealed a bit at the HP socks and the unicorn mug is awesome!! I can't wait to use it with the Kahlua French Vanilla coffee (it's like you KNOW me, 😆)

2019 book planning! I found a huge list of reading challenges at girlxoxo.com and modified some of them to suit me a bit better and then made up a couple of my own challenges to help me get through my 200 book physical tbr and get me motivated to find new books to love.

jmofo I keep a journal that is written out (and I sketch in or paste things into) about plans, events, things I want to think about, recording how I feel and what‘s going on with my mental & physical health. These last anywhere from three months to a couple years (there have been dry spells). To deal with the anxiety that comes up in writing in it sometimes, I have a planner that I open and write in at the same time, to organize my goals and my time. (edited) 6y

I tried using OneNote and Evernote for a while but if I want to stick at it then only pen and paper works for me. I'd *love* to create a stunning journal with as many sketches and little paintings as written bits but that's not going to happen anytime soon! 6y

SleepyDragon I just put everything in one journal, sort of a non-bullet journal because I have no use for a paper planner anymore. I use the calendar on my phone so that it syncs with my husband's and oldest's phone calendars. I have included quotes, doodling, sketches, etc. in my journal since I started journaling seriously in college. I don't always write regularly, but I'm trying to be better about it lately. 6y

CouronneDhiver I do! I keep a journal... mostly, about my faith. I record bible verses, prayer requests (and answers!), life lessons, inspirations, etc. 6y

SamanthaMarie @jmofo That sounds like such an excellent processing tool. I had a severe panic disorder for 2.5 years and journaling was so helpful for tracking my mental wellness. I too, like to paste things into my journals. :) I might have to steal your idea of using my planner alongside my journal! 6y

SamanthaMarie @CouronneDhiver I've done that before!! :) I used to have a journal specifically for that through high school and college. I should try and find it and see what prayers were answered/lessons learned/compare how my faith has changed. Such a good tool in our faith:) 6y

Edit: I keep a record on goodreads, Pinterest, & here on Litsy. I would like a written record as well.
I just bought this lovely little journal to keep a written record of the books I‘ve read. One problem...I‘m debating between writing down everything I‘ve read or the more recent years. Both have their pros and cons. What do you all think? Should I go back to the beginning of time, or start with books read within the last 4 years or so?? 🤔 💭

quirkyreader A huge pink binder with tabs for sections of the authors. And the tabs are in alphabetical order. As well as keeping track on my goodreads page. 6y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick The most up-to-date list is the Notes App on my phone. I have 1 list per year starting in 2014. I also use GR, so that one includes some I definitely read prior to 2014. This year I have a separate planner for my book life. It's not as full as I hoped (with challenges & pictures) but I try logging books I acquire, release dates, and a list of those read in the back, along with which ones were reviewed. 6y

Cubanmommy95 I also use Goodreads, here and my bullet journal. I only have maybe the last 5 years in there or so just because I can‘t remember all the old ones. 6y

rubyslippersreads I use GR. I keep up with current books, but also go back and add past reads. Once in awhile I‘ll suddenly think of a book I read ages ago and will add it. I just wish I‘d been keeping a book journal my entire life, because I‘m sure I‘ve forgotten a lot. 6y

kgriffith I track on LibraryThing and since Litsy came along, I‘ve come in here to catch my reading for the year up on my thread in the 75-book challenge Talk group. I keep trying to do some kind of book tracking in my passion planner but it‘s very inconsistent. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 6y
