Oh boy, I did not enjoy this book one bit. For me, the writing felt very stilted; it honestly felt like trudging through mud attempting to get through Mimi's inner dialogue. Mimi put herself into so many dangerous and ridiculous situations that it was hard for me to sympathize with her at all. I can't think of a single thing that would make me recommend this book to someone.

You guys this book had my mind REELING. This novel follows Quincy after a life altering trauma and her struggle through recovery. Her life is upended when an unexpected guest arrives at her front door intending to dig up Quinn's past. The ending of this book caught me off guard and was a bit of a let down. Of the two potential suspects I had in mind, the actual killer was disappointing. Still a great read!

You guys this book was INCREDIBLE. This is the first supernatural YA I have read in quite some time and I completely devoured it in just a few days. I loved Vera and Max working together to save his mom and I almost wish this would turn into a short series. This was the perfect read to start spooky season off right!

My most recent read was a blast! I absolutely adore this novel from Claire Christian. Noni Blake is tired of her stagnant life, and two years after her long-term relationship ends she decides to spice up her life. Drawing inspiration from a pleasure list leads Noni on a quest to find herself and what makes her happy. Going on this journey with her had me relating in all too real ways.

50 pages in and I'm hooked

I truly enjoyed this book. Although I wish it went into a little more detail about the war, I liked to see June's journey throughout the book. The one thing I honestly disliked about this novel was Sam. He was one giant red flag after another to me..

Had a great early workout, now to start this beauty while I wait for my bff to come by!

This book was adorable! I am so in love with Olive and Ethan. I wish I had more of their story because I just know it would be full of warm fuzzies. This book makes me want to binge buy everything else by Christina Lauren!

I honestly could have done without the retelling of the movie in the first half of the book. It may be because I've seen the movie so many times, but I felt like it dragged and it was a bit cringey to read. I did like the sequel. The characters were cute and seeing the Sanderson sisters again was pretty fun.

Finally assembled my bookshelf in my new apartment. I miss the rest of my books but now I can focus on the ones I haven't read.

I went for Wildcard and I came back with a bit more than expected.

My Halloween read. This is my all time favorite Halloween movie and I can't wait to cozy up with this book.

I was a little disappointed with this book. There was so much build up and suspense with very little resolution in the end. I was hanging on to every page waiting for some type of alien or extraterrestrial lifeform to appear and I was left with a rather dull cliffhanger. I do not think I will pick up the next book in the series.

Because what else would I do at 0300.

Packing up my books to move to my new apartment. I have to leave quite a few behind because I just won't have the space. It makes me extremely sad to part with some of my dearest reads.

I'll be the first to admit that white-girl-in-a-dystopian-america is NOT a new concept. But this story blew me away. Everything Eve has ever known suddenly comes crashing down around her and she has to find the courage and strength to bring down an entire regime.

Trigger Warning: Rape/non-consensual sex

As someone who struggled through an abusive relationship, this collection deeply resonated with me. It was a nice reminder of what I have been through and what I have overcome.

Yellow Crocus is a moving story about a girl and the slave who raised her. Mattie's viewpoints throughout the book had me in tears. Her determination to survive and provide a better life for her children made her character so dynamic.

I definitely only planned on buying one of these books.
