4.8 ⭐️ well damn… I like that a lot better than I thought would. But seriously, what is up with all these cliffhangers. Mind you, this one‘s not as bad as some of the others have been as of late. Anyways, this is a great book. Definitely got some action, some minor romance, and like one spicy scene. But the betrayal… wow, little intense.

4.6⭐️ OMG! This was nothing like I expected. I like to go into some of my books completely blind, not knowing what to expect. Though I do have some expectations. This one was a recommendation, and I thought I was reading a horror story, which I guess I kind of was. And I‘m not gonna lie, it had me in a chokehold… No pun intended. Anyways, this is also a dark romance. Please check your trigger warnings if you decide to read it.

4.2⭐️ Book one of the the month is done. This is book two of a douology, but it was my favorite. This one had some of my favorite tropes, but this line made me swoon. There was a lot of repeating itself which got frustrating at times, but overall it was enjoyable. This is a dark romance, but it is a lighter version of it and a good beginner one for some.

slategreyskies @Littlewolf1 oh, I thought they were your dice! 🎲 👍 2w
PuddleJumper @slategreyskies Hi! All of my dice are from 7 piece sets because I use them for table top role-playing. They are acrylic or resin, fairly standard for these kind of dice though you can also get metal ones. If you search for dice sets or d&d dice you'll find them. Those ones would be from Valkyrie RPG or Beholder's Gaze which are UK based companies 2w
PuddleJumper @slategreyskies Those specific dice are a d100 and d10. You should probably buy them separately, I'm not sure 2w

4.3⭐️ this was a hard pick for two reasons. One, I had a lot of fun read this month. Too, I really hated the FMC, but I think that‘s what made this book so great. While at the end, I was happy, the intense emotion that the book gave me was well done. And while it was a great book and wins for the month, my top right now it‘s still The House Of Sky and Breath.

slategreyskies I really loved House of Sky and Breath too! 2w

I need to get better at reviewing my books after I read them… But these last two months have been hard. I‘m still reading though, and here is a rundown of what I read this month. I completed my #DoubleSpin with Blood Mercy, which also happened to be my #Roll100 number 100 for the month. I completed my roll 100 for February finally with queen of shadows, and read my classic this month with Frankenstein. Let‘s see what May holds. Happy reading!

4.3⭐️ I can‘t even begin to tell you how many phone calls my BFF got because of this book. What‘s worse is the calls always started with something like “WTF” or “I hate her”. However, I‘m pretty sure the one that made her laugh the most was “if they‘re about to have a threesome I‘m nixing the whole damn book”. Overall, it‘s a good story. I‘m still not the biggest fan of the FMC but it‘s a good story.

Hello all… Sorry I‘m running so late with my reads from March. I did not complete any of my #Roll100 for March, but I added them to my April lineup. I completed my #DoubleBookSpin for #BookSpinBingo & my #BookSpin will be read in April as well. I know it wasn‘t the best month for reading because I got sick with pneumonia, but I felt like I did OK overall. I also had a little Ruby Dixon marathon, which was fun.

5⭐️ yes I‘m a Sarah J. Maas fan, sue me! 😁However, up until recently Throne of Glass was my favorite series. And while Manon is still one of my top-tier characters of all time, I freaking love the Crescent City series. I love all the characters, but I live for the power couple that is Bryce and Hunt. I really can‘t enough, and while I can‘t say for certain book 3 will be read by next mont, it will be read before the end of the year.

3⭐️ this one is a re-read. To be honest, it‘s not really good. If I could put it down, I would give it a lower score, but for some reason it‘s corny weirdness brings me some kind of comfort. It has to be the only reason I keep going back to it.

4.8⭐️so I had decided to read a bunch of short books in December to meet my reading goal; however, it didn‘t happen. So I moved a lot of them to January, and I still needed to move some over to this month. This was one of those books, and it‘s much better than some that I have read recently. While not a five star, it was excellent and looking forward to reading book two next month.

4.1⭐️ it was good, not quite what I expected, but that‘s OK. What drove me crazy with the continuous amount of the times the question “do you understand” was asked, because no, no, I really kind of don‘t. I mean, I get why it ended the way it did, and why certain events happened. However, I still don‘t understand the cause of some of the events, the decisions that were made, or why everything is being confessed now.

Pogue Ohh I loved this. I think the “do you understand “ was just her speach pattern because of who she was. 3mo

Oh, how I love this book. I have read it so many times. It is a little corny and cheesy but I‘m OK with this as this book, to me, has it all. It deals with betrayal, addiction, trauma, abuse, and healing, all wrapped up in a spicy little shifter romance. I will continuously reread this one over and over again! #LuckyInLove #FaceBodyOnCover

However, I wish I had the book in my hand so I could‘ve thrown it across the room several times. The primary love story was super cute, but the background story had me up in arms the entire time.

4⭐️ this is a strange, brutal and bloody retelling of the little mermaid. It‘s not a book that‘s going to be for everybody, but it does the job and being somewhat creepy and making you ill. It‘s bizarre and this authors writing can be, while very very poetic, unnecessarily sesquipedalian.
