I still think about this book. It was probably the most imaginative (although very odd and disturbing) book that I have ever read. Which makes it a great choice for a book club! 😉

#whodunitbymail reading on a beautiful morning. I am enjoying this selection @JoeStalksBeck I find it interesting that many of the book's characters have mysterious pasts, so there are a lot of plot twists to unfold as I read on. 🕵️‍♀️

Just an FYI for our #whodunitbymail group (in case we can ever figure this out ?): I highlighted in green what I have received and two books somehow passed me. (Still Mine and Hidden Fire). Also I have not received my May book from @AndreaReads so I currently don't have a book. Maybe this is a "withdrawn book" month for me. Hope this helps somehow.

I saw a recommendation for this book, realized I had a copy, and read it immediately. It takes place on a fictional island in New England, which sounds like Nantucket to me. A family gathers to celebrate a wedding and the author does a great job of deep diving into all of the drama that unfolds. There is an abundance of interesting and flawed characters. But what I liked most was the rich dialogue, both inner and between the characters.

Multitasking 🐾🎾📖 in a moment of sunshine. Just started my latest #whodunitbymail selection. I think we mail again in a few days, so back to reading!! 😜

I would have enjoyed this book even if I wasn't at the beach! ⛱🌊 The writing was wonderfully descriptive. The main characters were well-developed with some to love and some to dislike. And the story was excellent with quite a few twists and turns. I was bummed to get to the end of this 500+ page novel. Now to deep dive into this author's backlist!

I just finished watching this documentary on the great Joan Didion. I have read several of her books and think she has such a way with words. This is such a beautifully done homage to Joan by her nephew Griffin Dunne. What I found the most memorable was the very intimate look at Joan‘s grief and grieving process after several very painful losses in recent years. You might want to have tissues handy. #bookrelated #netflix

Wow! I practically read this book in one sitting! The author covers a lot of morality issues, but in a good, not preachy way. The relationship that develops between the two main characters is full of self-revelation and introspection, in turn, allowing the reader the same. I like and appreciate books that allow you to think outside their storyline.

Labor Day reading at my in-laws. This kept my interest with all its twists and turns. I was skeptical since it is an amnesia-follows-accident plot. Not to worry; it worked!

OK, #whodunitbymail folks, I had to join the club of those who couldn't wait for this one. It was mostly worth the hype. I got a teeny bit bored in the beginning, but couldn't put it down once it got going!

I started my #whodunitbymail today and it made a great companion to my peanut butter cookie and iced latte! This is my first Nevada Barr and it is sooo good. Fantastic character development! I will definitely read more in this series!
