Help a Litten out! I'm wanting to get back into reading challenges this year but I'm having a hard time figuring out what Litsy is hosting these days. It looks like a few I used to do aren't active anymore. Are there any I should know about? (I'm planning to do #bookspin with @TheAromaofBooks and #agathachristieclubR3 with @Librarybelle, of course!)

Picture of my dog's dumb teeth for tax!

TheAromaofBooks I'm participating in - #Pantone2025 and #FourFoursin25 with @lauredhel
- #WickedWords with @AsYouWish
- #Roll100 and #GottaCatchEmAll with @PuddleJumper
- #FictionalTraveler and #ReadorDonate with @julieclair
and my own other challenges, #ISpyBingo and #BookChain

Have you checked @LitsyEvents ? That account does a great job reposting all kinds of shenanigans!!
2d
Ruthiella You can follow @LitsyEvents for reposts of all the challenges, etc. Good luck! 😃 2d
AmyG There is #authoramonth @soubhiville where one reads 1+ books from that specific author for the month. #TBRTarot is where a card is chosen and you pick a corresponding book. #readyourkindle is like Bookspin but just for ereaders. Last two are with @Cbee (edited) 2d

Librarybelle @Cuilin @dabbe —thanks for mentioning the buddy reads I host! This is the last year for #192025 , which is reading a book originally published in each year from 1920-2025 (I‘ll post details later in the year for the next challenge, #192030 ). 2d
Texreader And #litsyatoz that I‘m hosting. 2d
AllDebooks #SeriesLove2025 challenge is a good one, hosted by @Andrew65 2d
AllDebooks Sorry, not finished. And @thelibraryview. I'm doing the Wild Moor reading challenge. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDKncU5i_Y7/?igsh=MXQ0a3U2cWZ1OHlieQ== 2d
AllDebooks Series love is also hosted by @TheSpineView having a brain malfunction 😅 2d
AllDebooks Thanks for the tags @TheBookHippie and @Cuilin 2d
julieclair In addition to those already mentioned (thanks, @TheAromaofBooks 💙), I also host #ThematicCozies , #AllergicToChunksters , and #MonthlyNonfiction2025 . Others I participate in that haven‘t been mentioned yet are #KindredSpirits with @BarbaraJean , #LittensLoveRomance with @StayCurious , #JaneAustenThenAndNownwith @Crinoline_Laphroaig , #HitchToScreen with @JenlovesJT47 , #FurrowedMiddleBrow and #PersephoneClub with @LeahBergen . 2d
Andrew65 This just shows how much is going on, an impressive list. 1d
PuddleJumper Teeth! ❤️ I think my general ones have been mentioned. I also have #RiordanverseReadalong which is reading Rick Riordan books and #ReadYourDamnDanmei which is reading Chinese light novels. I also run seasonal challenges in October/December 1d
PuddleJumper Also #QueerBC Monthly LGBTQIA+ authors and you can read anything they've written 1d
LeahBergen @julieclair Wow, this is a big list! Thanks for tagging our little reading groups. 😘 1d
MatchlessMarie When I have been away from Litsyland for a while I like to check out the @LitsyEvents page for most current things. But this is a great time of year to get back into them. It‘s hard to miss challenges since we are all abuzz with New Year wishful thinking 😂 1d
TheAromaofBooks @Librarybelle - I will be so excited to tackle another long-term project!! I actually think I'm going to complete #192025 which is pretty thrilling! 1d
Librarybelle That‘s so cool, @TheAromaofBooks ! I still have a bit to go but need to tally up my readings from the last half of 2024. I love the long term challenges! 1d
julieclair @LeahBergen I think it‘s more of a “wishful thinking” list! 😂 1d
LeahBergen @julieclair I think you‘re right. 😆 1d

Repost for @lunakay

Let's do it! For the #classicschallenge 2025, in the first quarter, we focus on poetry! To participate, you can read through poetry collections, a poem a day, or just browse through the classics. Anything that is on your tbr in this department, from Pushkin to Shakespeare to the Romantics, who will make you think of spring in March!

AnishaInkspill I've been thinking about this and have several poetry books lined up, I'm not sure how this is going to hgo and might span it out longer than the quarter. A really good idea, got me opening books that I have been meaning to get around to. 1w
Lunakay @AnishaInkspill That sounds great! I think btw that with poetry, a poem a week from different sources would be brilliant too!🤩 I'm planning to read a novel in verse and beside that just enjoying poems from different authors🤗 1w
AnishaInkspill @Lunakay 😍 this is better than I thought, an d is going to be such a distraction from my other reads - 2 days left, let the fun begin!!! 6d

From @Lunakay

Dear Littens, I think we all have some classics we would like to read, but somehow new amazing books are released all the time, then some of these classics are, well, a bit on the chunky side and therefore a bit intimidating and in general there is too much to read and too little time!
So, who would be interested in joining in on a quarterly challenge?

Let's tackle those oldies!

Let her know..

Librariana Sounds super fun! I'm so glad people like you, @Alwaysbeebeenaloverofbooks, and @OriginalCyn620 are part of the Litsy community and that you create these great prompts and activities (#weeklyforecast, etc.) to keep us all motivated to keep reading. Thank you all for that! 🧡 4y
mspixieears The Cooking Gene is fantastic and heartbreaking in parts, definitely worth reading as an alternative narrative to American history. 4y

Mehso-so

I understand why Maya Angelou is beloved on Litsy and recognized as a literary legend. She bore witness to the brutality of the Jim Crow South, portraying racism in stark language and vividly described the horrors and traumas she endured growing up. I admire her bravery and resolve but this book was difficult to get through. I can‘t say I enjoyed listening to the audio but I‘m glad I did. #ClassicsChallenge #Booked2020#BannedBook

Reviewsbylola I‘m not sure this one would be successful for me on audio. 5y
Cinfhen I‘m such a lover of memoir...especially when read by the author but for some reason this was a chore to get through. I know others loved hearing Maya Angelou‘s deep voice but I felt it harsh and robotic @Reviewsbylola 🙊 (edited) 5y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Proud of you. This one‘s still on my list. 5y
Cinfhen Thanks @BarbaraTheBibliophage when the times right im sure you‘ll pick it up💔 5y
