I enjoyed the artwork in this version of the classic fairy tale. I went back & read the Grimm‘s version online to see the gentling down in the modern versions (like princes being banished rather than beheaded for not discovering the mystery). A quick & nostalgic read. 💛

I grabbed the tagged book from an #ARC stack as it seems timely.😵‍💫

The book🐔🐔are pleased except that my library didn‘t have the next Nancy Drew for #NancyDrewBR & we‘re all annoyed.😉

I‘m finishing up my last 12 Dancing Princesses book for the month of January for #ChildrensClassicRead2025
This is a fun novella retelling.
She‘s also written a Sleeping Beauty retelling and in August, a Beauty and the Beast retailing will be published.

Spending my #HyggeHour reading the tagged book for #ChildrensclassicRead2025 & since that won‘t take long, I‘m going to read The Answer Is No from @JacqMac ‘s #AuldLangSpine list on my Kindle. Noshing on dried cinnamon Fuji apples & drinking apple chai tea.

I‘m so not ready for another crazy work week & the general crazy that will happen starting Monday. 😵‍💫

Picked up holds for #ChildrensClassicRead2025 @JacqMac ‘s #AuldLangSpine list & #NancyDrewBR The tagged book was on the new book shelves & intrigued me as a film lover & rom-com fan & my favorite librarian gave me the ARC of The Bookshop Sisterhood The book chickens 🐔🐔 approve!

It‘s so much fun reading the different versions! Each one is slightly different. All the illustrations have been beautiful. Soon I‘ll start the Crown of Twelve: A Twelve Dancing Princesses Novella which is the 1st of the Crowns of the Fae Trilogy ( or novella + duology)

This was my favorite fairy tale as a kid because of Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. I watched her production of The Twelve Dancing Princesses countless times. I was so excited to find it on youtube:
