This continues to be a charming manga exploring LGBTQIA+ and new ally experiences alongside in-panel baking and dessert recipes. Toshi continues to grapple with the concept of coming out, and his staffer continues to delve into what it means to support the queer community. #LGBTQIA #Manga #Baking

I was a bit disappointed by this one. I was looking forward to learning more about dragon boat racing but besides the race at the end it was hardly mentioned besides the two attending practices. Julie is a workaholic & Rae, despite their attraction for her, doesn't want a relationship with someone who won't put them first. Except this doesn't really stop them- their relationship builds quickly & without much conflict

Loveless | Alice Oseman

This is a quintessential coming of age novel, with a lovely focus on queer identity and asexuality. Georgia is obsessed with the idea of being in love but has never felt that spark for another person. There is typical university romantic drama throughout plus an emotional reckoning of society's romantic expectations. Oseman as always writes a wonderful cast of characters who all struggle in different ways

Like any short story collection, some stories were more enjoyable than others. I definitely had fun reading this and getting to know or re-experience so many wonderful authors, and I love a good collection with trans and nonbinary characters. My favorites might be the one with the storm lighthouse and the one narrated by the magic school. #LGBTQIA #Magic #ShortStories

Kenyazero Used for #LGBTQIA2025 an author you've read before; and #OwlHouseReadathon Boscha: intense competition 2w

This was a fun mystery. I liked going along for the ride with Oliver and Ricky as they veer from their travel writing to solve an unexpected murder. Oliver is autistic and uncomfortable with changing plans, but he builds confidence in himself with Ricky's help. The two try to get to the bottom of the disturbances of a self-driving car company without getting into trouble themselves.
Great start of a new cozy mystery series #SeriesLove2025

Rules for Ghosting: A Novel | Shelly Jay Shore

I absolutely adored this book! Such a tender story about grief and family expectations, finding your place in life and love. I enjoyed learning more about Jewish customs surrounding death & funerals. As much as I was rooting for the romance between Ezra and Jonathan, I was also totally invested in the Friedman family's journey with forgiveness. While Ezra can see ghosts, this is less of a ghost story and more a contemplation of healing after death

When a Villain Calls: A Dark MM Romance | Timothy Janovsky, Tj Sky

I don't normally read dark romance but I love this author's other works and I ended up really enjoying this! This was a stalker romance between two men who had previously hooked up. Reed is house-sitting at a fancy rich person home and Dax arrives to rob it. When he realizes who the sitter is, Dax decides to call him to scare him off. But things turn a bit kinky... In the end there was even more intrigue and an 'eat the rich' mentality I liked

Interesting short story set in a dystopian future. People sometimes randomly transform into demons, but when Shrike's wife is changed she is determined to stop the knight sent to kill her. Very twisted fairy tale vibes

This is a fun modern reimagining of Sleepy Hollow. It was a bit silly, in a good way, with curses and evil magic to defeat. And a talking pumpkin head of course. I loved the main trio of friends, they each brought something to the group.

I liked the concept of this small town full of magical creatures, where a witch conjures the spirit of her ex-girlfriend and needs to move on romantically in order for the ghost to move on. The love interest is new in town and adapts to the knowledge of the paranormal rather quickly. My main issue was that the characterization of the two women was too similar. Even switching POVs it was hard to remember whose head you were in

PuddleJumper That's so difficult when it's dual pov 4w
Kenyazero This just landed on my Libby shelf! Hopefully I'll be able to follow along even though the characters are very similar 😆 4w
