More Murderbot!!

Mensah is in trouble and Murderbot (a bot programmed to protect clients and kill those who attempt to hard them) uses its free will to decide to help.

Dry humour & science fiction, I love this series so much.

#lgbtqia2025 as Murderbot sorta counts as asexual? @Kenyazero

Not a bad month, two bingos, even! A couple of books for #192025, #Nepal book for #FoodandLit, a couple of books #OffMyShelf, a couple of books for #LGBTQIA2025 Bingo/#TBRTarot, and a #1001Books,. Didn't manage one for #FictionalTraveler, as my book for Ireland was actually set in Copenhagen, oops.

This manga is off to a good start when a boy finds himself tricked into delivering food to the village's creepy protector and discovers purpose in supporting him. I'm really enjoying the character development, relationship building, and the slow introduction we are getting to their world. Looking forward to picking up volume 2. #Manga #LGBTQIA

I went in with low expectations for this beautiful guys piece, but it's pretty charming and the art's lovely. The tone reminded me of Native American animal stories where animal characters are often anthropomorphic. It was a bit weird that there were no female characters, which is common to this genre. I enjoyed seeing some of the chatacters' pasts already and hope the next volume dives into more world and character building. #manga #LGBTQIA

I think my hopes were a little too high for this one after reading Don‘t Cry for Me, by the same author, but I enjoyed hearing Isaac‘s point of view.

Overall a good book and not necessary to read the first to follow the story.

I wanted another slice of life like Our Not So Lonely Planet or Confessions of a Shy Baker with tons of food illustrations (because I love them 😍) and a hint of romance, and that‘s exactly what I got! We also get a look at the characters‘ insecurities and their hopes and fears for the future, which adds a nice dimension as well. Bonus points for including recipes in each chapter! #Manga #SliceOfLife #Food

Set in a rural farm area amongst a devout religious community it is a searing portrait of grief and the many unhealthy ways it manifests in a family when left alone. Other circumstances conspire to make an unbearable situation even worse, culminating in a final action, final sentence that is a punch in the gut. OOoft.

I didn't realize this was a memoir comic when I picked it up, but it started to dawn on me as themes took shape. This is a lovely look into the author's life, the middle school experience, maintaining friendships, and growing up with devorsed and complicated parents. I enjoyed the way Tori's writing is represented, and the references to Harvest Moon charmed me endlessly. #Comics #Nonfiction #MemoirComic

Haru, a little blueberry-shaped bird, helps their best friend, a piglet named Yama, on an unexpected quest to do away with an immensely evil object. The pacing is a little off, but I absolutely love this first book. The characters are fun, the dialogue is charming, and the post-apocalypse setting is interesting. I enjoy that the characters don't fully understand their quest. The lighthearted but dark tone reminds me of Rice Boy.
