Death Note, a notebook belonging to a Shinigami death god in hand, Light continues pursuing his goal. At first, Light punishes criminals who have gotten away with it/only received light sentences but as his activities draw attention, he casts a wider net. This is a cat & mouse thriller which has you rooting for the good guys AND the bad ones but it‘s also an interesting examination of the means justify the ends. Can good come from something bad?

When Kyouhei moves from the countryside to the city for school, he is inexplicably afraid of city dwellers, including his rough-around-the-edges neighbor, who he finds himself drawn to. Not a standout manga, but enjoyable enough. Definitely humorous! #LGBTQIA

It's time to play review catch-up from when I was sick in March!
Childhood friends Yuuta and Ritsu have defined their relationship through team mate bonds for a long time. When their tenure as team mates ends, they have to work to redefine it. I thought this was a sweet, slow-paced manga with a lovely drawing style. #LGBTQIA

I‘m getting a jump start on my long weekend outdoor reading plans ahead of another thunderstorm (hopefully without hail this time). I still love THE WINTER KNIGHT with about 80 pages to go, MUNDO CRUEL is full of well-observed short fiction, and the tagged comic series is decidedly moreish. The Moscow Mule that accompanies them gets a little bit better with every drink I take. #gaymay

This was such a joy to read! This manga is seriously the cutest thing ever. I was dying over how adorable it was.

Like the title suggests, the main characters are opposites. Suzuki is outgoing and popular, while Tani is more reserved and keeps to himself. I loved seeing their relationship blossom. Their first date was a standout.

I checked this series out from the graphic novel section of the library today. Honestly, I mostly just chose it because the library had the entire series (3 books) available to check out in one go. I got them for my 16 year old son. I think, if I hit on the right books or the right genre, then he‘ll end up being a reader. I‘ve just been striking out on most of the ones I‘ve chosen for him so far. However, today I caught him in his room reading! ⬇️

Lovely book of watercolour paintings of Venice that come to life even more after experiencing the city in real life.

Wouldn't call it a graphic novel as it's not really a story!

I am now caught up on Vinland and this volume was excellent. The goal of our main characters has been met. I do hope there are more stories to tell, but if it ends here I am satisfied. 5⭐️

A solid entry, though a little slower and less action packed than other volumes. 4⭐️

Also another #Roll100 pick done!
