It was fun and something a bit different to celebrate the holiday season with compared to the titles in the more typical holiday romance or Christian fiction genres. It‘s a story about a truly unintelligent angel on a mission to make a child‘s Christmas miracle come true.
1. Elf, easily. Muppet Christmas Carol and The Bishop's Wife are runners-up. Robin Robin (Netflix) and The Happiest Season (Hulu) are recent favorites.

1. (Movie) I think there was a similar question recently in another post, so as not to repeat, I'll pick something more recently and say Game Night (2018) with Jason Bateman and Rachael McAdams. Highly underrated!

pickA funny tale about an angel who comes to Pine Cove to grant a child a Christmas wish. The angel messes up the wish and things get out of control. The characters we meet are all a bit quirky, kind (most of them) and funny. Overall an enjoyable read.
Be warned - no issues are treated seriously/realistically by Moore -

I've been looking for this book since I first read *Lamb, the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Friend* in 2008. I was aimlessly scrolling through FB when I came across their post with a link to the web bookstore. I figured why not, and the third book that came up was this--Score!! 😁💃🏻😁

#WinterReadathonDailyChallenge Todays prompt was post something that made you laugh. This audiobook had me giggling to myself in a corner like a madwoman. It‘s a ridiculous story, about a child that gets an angels Xmas wish & ends up creating zombies. But it‘s the whole thing that shines, the place, the characters. I HIGHLY recommend the audiobook, read by a newscaster, the juxtaposition between his voice & the ridiculousness going on is just👌
Christmas crept into Pine Cove like a creeping Christmas thing: dragging garland, ribbon, and sleigh bells, oozing eggnog, reeking of pine, and threatening festive doom like a cold sore under the mistletoe.

Catching up on this absolutely hysterical book!! Christmas was so busy and then I took the covid fall after all this time so quarantine is time to catch up!
so-soThis book started out strong for me and had me interested and laughing as Moore describes this small town and its bizarre residents and Christmas traditions.
It all kinda fell apart at the end though and turned into a hot mess.

so-soPeople have recommended Christopher Moore to me for years and I finally read one of his books. One of my coworkers recommended it to me.
I can definitely see his appeal. I think there were a couple of funny posts but I don't know that it's for me.

pick🎧 So. I have no idea why I‘m reading this during Spooktober. Oh wait, “terror”? I‘ve had this little hardcover book forever. I just couldn‘t get into it. Then there was a Hoopla audio loan and I listened as I was doing laundry today. 😁😆😆😆😂😂🤣Well it‘s lowbrow, breaks the 4th wall with the narrator and tons of thinly veiled sexual innuendo (not really veiled at all). Summer in Australia means Christmas & my favourite Xmas read is The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore & it has to be the audiobook which is hysterically funny. The angel Raziel is sent to Pine Cove to grant a childs Xmas wish. The kid has witnessed what he thinks is Santa being murdered so Raziel ends up resurrecting an entire graveyard of zombies that attack during Xmas Mass. #25Etsy
