Im surprised I was able to read/ listen to so many books this week because I was SUPER BUSY preparing and then celebrating Rosh Hashana 😍

Another week and some really good reads☺️LOVED No Two Persons - enjoyed the others. Still not done with the Smiley and I‘m thinking it might be a bail🤪

I was able to read/ listen to more books than I expected 🤓Favorite from the bunch was Still Born from the #InternationalBookerLongList23 but I did enjoy all my reads except for the two Wares 😝

Not bad, I finished 4 books this week despite being extremely busy. Two on audio, two in print - my FAVORITE was easily Bandit Queens. LOVED it. @Chelsea.Poole I liked the Tyler 😌a compelling family drama. Scottoline was decent and the Spanish Daughter was a solid HF for #ReadingTheAmericas23

I'm re-reading The Chronicles of St Mary's series (have finished book 7 of 13). The next book will be out in June. 😁 It's like meeting old friends.

🤹‍♀️ Frazzled - In which I finally GET the whole mindfulness-for-mental-health thing, with the help of Ruby Wax. Surprisingly helpful.

Wow!! I didn‘t realize how much I read this week!!!Two ARCs, another book from my #NYWD list and a few challenge books. My FAVORITE was Olympus, Texas from @MallenNC and my least favorite was a tie between Four Winds & Verity. I bailed on my Kingsolver because I‘m having migraines and I just can‘t concentrate right now, plus the narration wasn‘t working for me. I enjoyed LA Weather and The Christie Affair. Open & Diver‘s were disappointing.

Another solid week...of course NONE of these books were on my #WeeklyForecast except for Unsettled Ground🤪I LOVED Rabbit on audio and really enjoyed Mystery of Mrs. Christie (also on audio). Arabia & Four Lost Cities were both NF for #ReadingAsia21 and both were wonderful.

My dual #bookreport and #weeklyforecast post! Hit of a reading lag this week, but I‘m hopeful I‘ll find something to grab me this week.

I seem to keep starting books, but then get too busy to keep going. Mostly bc I want a chunk of time. I know some people who can read in 10 minute “chunks”, but to me reading is more than inhaling books. I want the time to experience the story and feel something for the characters. We say #bookreport and this is literally it for me - a report on one book! 570 pages in, 312 to go. I love history and I love Mantel‘s writing style, so this is my jam, but wow if you struggle with myriad characters and details you would DROWN in these pages. #ididntchoosetheChunksterLife

My reading has been dismal this week - I bailed on 3 books and had only read the very short Like Water for Chocolate when I happened on Tana French yesterday and read her first book in two sittings. SO good. Almost done listening to Goblet of Fire too.
In lockdown news - I‘ve been missing Tank smoothies, so when I found fresh raspberries and frozen mango I had a go at making one. Very nice but I still want the real deal! 😂

I won‘t get another book finished today as my current read is slow but oh so good. I‘m just happy my Er doesn‘t hurt anymore so I can read. It‘s still blurry af but I can at least open it now. And I see just fine out of the other eye. So 3 books down for last week and looking forward to the next week! #BookReport @Cinfhen

Very pleased to have finished Swann‘s Way, a book I‘m still thinking about, and I was powerfully surprised by Shadowplay which affected me deeply too. I bailed on Brother of the more famous Jack which may be more about me than the book.

9yo finished and loved Who Let The Gods Out - and I finished reading The Mark of Athena to him (he still loves some reading aloud time for these epic novels)
