Book #3. Read this with my kiddo. Still a fave series.
Book #3. Read this with my kiddo. Still a fave series.
For me, this is where the series really picks up. I love the whole story of the dementors, the time turner, a prisoner on the loose, the Marauders‘ Map, learning more about Snape‘s grudge, and (my favorite) Lupin! I love that Hermione has a few moments of defiance in this book with Malfoy and Prof. Trelawney. *I found this British edition in a used bookstore, and I love it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This has always been my favorite book of the series - I can remember where I was sitting 25 years ago when I first read the ending and, for the first time I can remember, felt genuinely shocked by a twist in a story.
These are our road trip books now, so we started this one back in April as we drove home from FL and finished it on our drive back to IL from Kentucky.
Looking forward to book 4 on the next trip!
Finished the cushion. I have to sew in the zipper. I do hope I have one at home 😅
HP read-along with my daughter is going great. We're at chapter 11.
Me and my daughter are reading the same book. She listened to the first two books on audio during our vacation. Now we're doing a read along for book 3
My original copy of the prisoner of Azkaban was so bad the cover was torn, it had seen bath water several times, and the spine was so cracked it couldn't close.

No comment on the third thing, there are a few books I would just erase from the planet though. Such as curly girl and Lolita

I finished this book a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to post a review on it. I enjoyed reading this book. Love the characters. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

To this day this still gets me… 🥺

1. Chocolate and books 🍫📚
2. All the Harry Potter books. The friendship between Harry and Hermione is a great example of platonic love.

Perfect day to start number 3!
My family knows me well. My in-laws got me a new kindle and cover to replace the one I shattered. My daughter got me this awesome bookmark. She always gets me the funniest stuff.
I hope everyone is having an amazing Christmas 🎄
The third book sees Harry, Hermione, & Ron about to start their third year at Hogwarts. On the way there they encounter Professor Lupin, their new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, when a Dementor, one of the feared guardians of Azkaban searches the train. Harry seems to be the worst affected of anyone. It seems that a prisoner named Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban & is after Harry to take his revenge for what happened to (continued)

Hey everyone. I haven't been reading during my recovery but I have been busy. Thanks to @CymbaX13 and @TheWolfbehindTheEyes for helping me build these beauties. Hogwarts Castle with scenes from all the films and the amazing flying Buckbeak. #hogwarts #lego

I am reading a few books right now:
•Lady Chatterley's Lover (so far I would recommend to certain people)
•Migrations (I don't know. I had to go back and reread a few chapters because I'm not paying attention)
•HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban (always recommend)
•LOTR The Fellowship of the Ring (yes for those that like epic classics)

I listen to HP to fall asleep at night but don‘t have a current audio read. Hubs got stuck at work so Wes and I had to drive an hour ten to a friend‘s house for dinner tonight. Enter HP. Two things really struck me: 1 the adults should‘ve prevented Hermione from overdoing it 2- Snape is a horrible bully. Like no redeeming qualities.
Wow! Such an incredible story. I devoured it in a day. 🧙♀️ Each book I read I can‘t believe how entertained all of the characters are. What an incredible imagination Rowling must have.
My newest lego creation. Lupin's patronus wolf.
5-26-23: My 59th finished book of 2023! The 3rd installment of the Harry Potter series was ok. It was a lot of classes and quidditch related chapters until the last 100 pages when it picked up. Between Professor Lupin‘s secret, to the capture of Sirius Black and the discovery of Peter Pettigrew, learning about dementors and the Patronus, it became very interesting. As usual, Ron cracks me up and Hermione annoys me. It was nice to see Harry happy.
Just finished the fourth book on audio, I enjoyed the characters and the plot so much!!! I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars!!!
Taking a trip down memory lane woth this collection. Absolutely loved it. Still unable to put these books down. Will probably be reading these books for years and years to come
Harry Potter is in his third year of Hogwarts school and is eager to get the year going. However, Harry soon finds out that the feared criminal Sirius Black has escaped from the prison of Azkaban, and that he‘s after Harry. In response to this threat, Hogwarts brings in prison guards from Azkaban. These guards are known as dementors, and they cause Harry a lot of trouble. The year progresses, and eventually the guilt of Sirius Black is questioned.

I can fight you on this 🤣
Also I just need to post how gorgeous my new reading journal is for 2023 and beyond! It‘s from The Quirky Cup Collective, and it‘s amazing; besides having this beautiful cover and gilded edges, it has sections for book reviews, TBRs, Reading Challenges, Books to Own, and more! I‘m hoping this helps me put a bit more thought into my final thoughts on a book, so we shall see!🌿
Twelve done (apart from the buttons) twelve more to go. Luckily I have eleven months 😁🎄🪄
Here‘s my review for a book I finished reading. I started it in October and finished it on November 1.
Here‘s my reading progress for a book I started reading last night. It‘s good. I‘m getting cozy vibes from this book series and I‘ve only read the first 2 books so far. This is a good series to read when you‘re curled up with a blanket and hot drink but it‘s also a good series to read if you want to escape the real world and not think about anything for awhile. I‘m having so much fun reading this series. I want to watch the movies too.
The third installment of JK Rowling‘s series is one that dives deeper into the overall story that is progressively building on. We meet many new characters and learn more about Harry‘s late parents and their friends. Ultimately having to save an innocent man after the truth is revealed.
Another great book! A good book, especially for third graders! Each Harry Potter book gets harder to read, and as the kids grow in real life the books grow with them!
The photo prompt for 10/11-10/13 #BookBattle is #Transformation so I'm going with a favorite werewolf, Lupin. Illustration by Jim Kay.
