I love taking pressure out of my reading. If I didn‘t want to read something, I didn‘t. If I wasn‘t enjoying something, I bailed. I also made time for other things, like exercise, crafts, and personal development classes. With all of that, I still managed 14 books this month. I know that will drop off as I pick up bigger books, but I‘m enjoying reading again, which is all that matters. #januarywrapup

I'm going to plan on reading 20 chapters. I did that last month and it seemed to work for me.

Friday sees the start of the January #20in4 Readathon. All welcome to join.

The aim is across the 4 days to aim to read either for 20 hours or to read 20 chapters. Alternatively you can set your own targets for the Readathon. A very informal and relaxed Readathon where we all just aim to end the month on a reading high.

To join just post your targets and/or the books you are hoping to read from over the 4 days.

New year, new month, new tentative TBR. My reading goals for the year are more modest than last, as I want to get back to other creative hobbies that I didn‘t make time for last year and I desperately want to take the pressure off of what is supposed to be a relaxing escape. For this month, I need to reread The Unquiet Dead for work book club, 1 NetGalley ARC, and then pick at least one book for #AuldLangSpine, for a total of 3 books this month.

I just couldn't get interested in Blackman's vignettes. Sorry Barb, too many books I do want to get stuck into to get bogged down by one that wasn't for me.
