Looks like Winter is still my favorite.
Winter (The Lunar Chronicles Book 4) | 
so-soI finally got around to finishing this series I started such a long time ago. I will admit I was a bit fatigued by the time that I got to this book. It also took me a bit to get into the story. I enjoyed the middle part but then struggled again to finish the book. While I still enjoyed the story, I found my mind wandering and was hoping we would get to the peak a bit faster. The ending felt a bit unfinished to me as well. Happy to have completed!

pickI really enjoyed this series. This book brings all of the characters into one place and culminates in a war to overthrow the evil Queen Levana. I will admit to sometimes being bored and struggling to feel that the book was dragging on. Overall, though I liked it and, as Book 4 of the series, you just can't miss out on the end of the story!
pickThis conclusion to the Lunar Chronicles is the most epic installment of the series, the most adventure-packed…and also my least favorite. I enjoyed Winter the character more than Winter the book! I just got lost in all the political machinations—even though I appreciate how much work Marissa Meyer put into staging a realistic uprising— I just really felt how long this one is. I really enjoyed the ending however!

I‘ve been doing some rereads recently. This is the only book of the lunar chronicles that I own which I would like to change. *unpopular opinion* this is my favourite book out of the 4 (close second is Scarlet)

pickI‘m so glad I made time to reread this series. I actually found I enjoyed Winter and Jacin story more this time and wished we had more time with them. Kai and Cinder are the best royal couple ever! The ending work more for me this time. It‘s nice when you reread something and it only increases your love for characters and story. I can definitely see myself re-reading this again❤️❤️

2 - I've read a lot of books I've really enjoyed this year, but the tagged book/series definitely popped into mind. I wasn't expected to enjoy these nearly as much as I did. I've bailed on several books this year and always like to make a small notation as to why I did so, so here⬇
pickThese two. For a book that was 800 pages, felt only 400. Big, yet not too big. Only thing was Winters Snow White wasn‘t much retelling compared to the others stories. Still fit very well. So much was going on, yet never felt overwhelming. I felt most for Scarlet and Wolf, with all they‘ve been through. Cress & Thorne really grew on his speech at the end. Didn‘t fully get Winter & Jacin. Not enough time for me.
Kai & Cinder? perfect for each other.

Finished Winter by Marissa Meyer!! LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Definitely my favourite out of the lunar chronicles. Winter was amazing and I loved how her character was written. Kai and Cinders story progressed so much and cant wait to see how it finishes. Thorne and Cress gave me life. I loved their story with all my heart. Wolf and Scarlets story was PERFECTION. pickThis is the technical conclusion of the Lunar Chronicles (although there are also two graphic novels and some short stories) and although it was 823pgs, it didn't feel too long as there was SO much going on. I felt like the build-up to the rebellion was realistic in both the setbacks and successes. Reading Fairest before this book really did work, because I felt more connected to Levana and her choices as well. Overall, I 100% recommend this ⬇
Winter despises her stepmother, and knows Levana won't approve for her childhood friend--the palace guard, Jacin. But Winter isn't as weak as Levana believes her to be and she's been undermining her stepmother's wishes for years. Together with the cyborg, Cinder, and her allies, Winter might even have the power to launch a revolution and win a war that's been raging for far too long.
