I went to a bookstore today and brought home two new additions to my horde of books. I made a deal with my partner that I would start reading a book on my TBR. So here I am fulfilling that promise and finally finishing this universe 😋

This was one of my few high rated books. Great female lead with her coming into her power as a women which we love to see. I loved the way this was written with fantastic imagery that sucked me right in. Gave you that feminist feeling of wanting to stand up and fight. Much love for this one 💕
As a continuation of my last post, I thought I had finally pulled off my 30 book goal in the last two days only to find out that a book had been catalogued twice and alas I only reached 29. However, I will not be rushing to finish it this year as I feel that doing so would take away the fun and point of me setting these goals. I want to hit the goal because I was loving what I was reading, not to say I got to a certain number. So good job me (:
Man I had really fallen off the band wagon with posting on here…I‘ve made some significant progress with the Pantone Colour challenge! I read a wide variety of books (which is not very common for me) as well as rating some very high and very low. I started the year off strong, even thinking I may read more than my 30 book goal on Goodreads. However, the last half of the year I really slowed down and even got into a bit of a reading rut..
“For if there was one thing I‘d learned in my life, it was that knowledge was power. Knowledge was escape. Books were thresholds, and you could cross them and leave yourself behind, or use what you found inside to transform into someone else.”
Finished my 8th book of the year! A fairly casual read with some powerful themes. Not a favorite of mine but enjoyable and glad that I picked it up.
Again, I love this series so far! While it is a bit slow going it isn't terrible. I actually enjoy this world and interacting with the characters. The plot twist at the end of this book totally blindsided me. It was a great experience and was shocking, however I'm not sure it added as much to the story as it could have. I also skipped most of the last chapter, while I love dual perspectives, I don't want to read the exact same scene twice.
I have been a big fan of this series so far. While a pretty predictable trope of enemies-to-lovers, I love the way that it has been done. It reminds me a bit of the Throne of Glass series that I adore. This main character starts out as a strong female lead but you see her grow even more in this book. The tension between Auren and Rip is palpable through the pages. When she ends up picking Midas is disappointing but clearly what was going to happen
I finally got around to finishing this series I started such a long time ago. I will admit I was a bit fatigued by the time that I got to this book. It also took me a bit to get into the story. I enjoyed the middle part but then struggled again to finish the book. While I still enjoyed the story, I found my mind wandering and was hoping we would get to the peak a bit faster. The ending felt a bit unfinished to me as well. Happy to have completed!
Thanks to my good friend @Librariana for sharing her Pantone colour boards! I have one book I haven‘t placed yet because I can‘t decide which colour best fits. So far this year I‘ve enjoyed everything I‘ve read and this challenge is making it so much more fun! Can‘t wait to continue to add to this.
