Nothing like a good book and cake on Saturday night. What do you like to do?

..what we think to be our greatest weakness can sometimes be our biggest strength.
I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have...The wait was worth it.
Truth is deadly. Truth is freedom. Truth can break and mend and bind.
My friend through many dangers.
My lover who had healed my broken and weary soul.
My mate who had waited for me against all hope, despite all odds.
When you spend so much time trapped in darkness, Lucien, you find that the darkness begins to stare back.
I would have torn apart the world to get back to you.
The truth is, when death comes, no matter how it comes, it's always scary.
It is the magic of a frail, fallible creature, one capable of both unspeakable cruelty and immense kindness. It lives inside every human being ready to redeem us. To transform us. To save us. If we can only find the courage to listen to it.
It is the magic of the human heart.
There is magic in this sad, hard world. A magic stronger than fate, stronger than chance. And it is seen in the u likeliest of places.
Jealousy. It burns so hot, so bright. It devours you, until you're just a smoking ruin with nothing left inside.
Stop burdening the gods. Stop cursing the devil. They will make no path for you. They gave you their dark gifts: reason and will. Now you must make your own way.
Whats done is done. Whether to you, or by you, amd you cannot change it.
But what's not done is not done.
And there, both hope and hazards lie.
Believe that you can make your way. Or don't. Either way, you are right.
Strange, isn't it, how stories that are never told are the ones we most need to hear.
Most people will fight when there is some hope of winning, no matter how slim. They are called brave. Only a few will keep fighting when all hope is gone. They are called warriors.
...cruelty never came came from a place of strength; it came from the darkest, darkest, weakest place inside you.
History books say that kings and dukes and generals start wars. Don't believe it. We start them, you and I. Every time we turn away, keep quiet, stay out of it, behave 0urselves.
Sometimes it's easier to say that you hate what you can't have rather than admit how badly you want it.
And it feels so good to talk to someone. Really talk to someone. About things that don‘t hurt. And about things that do.
It may not be what you were expecting, but that doesn‘t mean it isn‘t what you need.
“Knowing is hard,” he says, “but it‘s a thing you can survive. The not knowing will kill you in the end. It‘s the secrets that fester.”
As a book lover, I love this book. I laughed so many times as I saw myself as the main character. There isn't a plot, but rather a description of what it means to love books. Absolutely adore and recommend for anyone that reads.
Getting ready to start this. I just finished a book last night and looking forward to this one. I've heard a lot of good things.

I absolutely loved this book. It really has given me insight to myself and made me feel less different. Introverts and extroverts have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you are are an introvert i highly recommend this book.
I give it four stars because some of her stories are a little too long. Occasionally they take the reader away from the text instead of enlightening her point due to their length.
White Stag is a boundless adventure that I enjoyed and read in a few hours.. While the writing is simplistic, it had a good plot. Watching Jenneke, a human thrall slowly evolving into a goblin, struggle with the two parts of herself and accepting herself was beautiful. Lots of action, violence, fight scenes, torture, and gory details. There is even some allusion to sex and rape, but didn't go into details.
“If there was only one solution to every problem, the world would be insanely dull...“
