Has anyone read either of these books please? Wondering if they're worth getting. Please and thank you 😊 #recommendation #bookthoughts #reviews #opinions happy reading 📚 ❤📖

KristiAhlers I‘ve read Beast and the Beauty and it‘s DARK! But totally different from what you‘d find in normal retelling. 3y
KristiAhlers I liked it for how different it was but this isn‘t going to be for everyone. 3y
hannah-leeloo Thanks for the warning @Katbooklover 3y
KristiAhlers @hannah-leeloo no worries. 3y

Just published my May Wrap Up video! Let‘s talk about the books we read last month: https://youtu.be/ldgWS2RVNoU

#monthlywrapup #maywrapup #booksreadinmay #mayreads #booktube #bookreviews #bookthoughts

EadieB @Butterflyamore From your May reads, I am interested in Horrorstor & How to Disappear Completely. I already read Hunting Party which I liked too.
I read 20 books in May - 8 Ian McEwan books which I enjoyed all of them except Machines Like Me.
I think you would like: The Silence by Susan Allott, Lying in Wait by Liz Nugent and Long Bright River by Liz Moore - all 5 star reads. The rest of my books were from different series that I read.
4y
abookishbutterfly @EadieB The three you recommended are all books I definitely want to read! I‘ve only read one Ian McEwan book to date, which was about 20 years ago. I hadn‘t cared much for it and haven‘t tried another one since. Did you have a top favorite out of the ones your read? 4y
EadieB @Butterflyamore The one I liked the best was The Children Act. Next is The Innocent and then The Child in Time. I think these were the best that I read. 4y

Here we go! It was interesting and sometimes very upsetting to read through some of the negative reviews about the books I love! Come see my reactions here: https://youtu.be/oQwG-dDD7xE

CocoReads Someone gave Educated a 1 Star? That was one of my favorites last year. It was crazy, almost unbelieveable in parts, but so good! 5y
suzie.reads I loved The Whisper Man! 5y

abookishbutterfly @CocoReads A lot of people gave Educated one star. 3,217 people on Goodreads, to be exact. 5y
CocoReads Wow. I rarely read GR reviews so I didn‘t even notice. To me they‘re a lot like Facebook comments. I don‘t need that negativity in my life. 🤣 5y
abookishbutterfly @CocoReads I would not have much of a video here if I didn‘t take a look at those reviews. 😉 I don‘t mind seeing people‘s opposing views, if they express them coherently and respectfully, but some people are so unbelievably nasty. The reviews on Educated were the most upsetting to me but I anticipated that ahead of time. 5y
CocoReads That‘s a good point and I agree for the video, you definitely needed the reviews. And I also don‘t mind a well worded negative review with good coherent arguments but for sure the really nasty ones are what I don‘t like. 5y

Re-reading The Inheritance Cycle. On the 3rd book (Brisingr) at the moment. Can't believe how much I actually didn't remember from a certain point in the first book to now even though I did read the first three books. Oh well. Will be done with Brisingr soon. Then will read Inheritance for the first time. #Books #BookThoughts #Inheritance #Dragons #Eragon #Brisingr #InheritanceCycle #Saphira

Man... I forgot how slow the first book is. I mean, it's a bit different with the gender roles reversed, though to be honest I keep thinking Beau is a girl. Makes the book a /tad/ more interesting. =P Bella/Edythe 4 life.
