I'm back from a reading hiatus due to some rugged travels where I didn't have room for hard copies of books in my luggage. I missed this little community (and reliable Internet)!

I'm struggling through this part of the series. I'm interested to see how things will change when Sanderson takes over the writing. For #10, I'm putting forth my earnest efforts to soak it up, be present in the writing, and enjoy it.

Bk4 of July was finished 2 days ago. The 9th in the WOT, this one is important. Mat is stuck in Ebou Dar when the Seanchan invade & finally meets the Daughter Of The Nine Moons, the woman he‘s destined to marry,Perrin is still chasing the kidnapped Faile, Egwene & the rebels start the siege of Tar Valon & Rand with Nynaeve takes the ter‘angreal keys & attempts the impossible, cleansing saidin. #BookspinBingo #SeriesLove2023 #ChunksterChallenge2023

May be my favourite book in the series yet! This one got very exciting at the end. Have been listening to a read along podcast that has made remembering names and plot points so much easier! Would definitely recommend to anyone struggling through this series.

What "slog"? I felt Winter's Heart was highly entertaining and enjoyable. One of the main characters makes his return, along with others we haven't heard from in a while, including one of my favorite minor characters. The ending of the book is one of the most satisfying so far in the series as it wraps up a mission and so much is revealed. I am looking forward to seeing how some other storylines play out! Nine down, six to go! #WoT

Ok, this one was a bit much. Well past the halfway mark of the series now, and we're still adding new factions and new characters, and spending too much time lost in the minutiae of regional political intrigues (I get that the struggle for Andor's Lion Throne is important, but do I need an exhaustive primer on every major house and possible claimant?). It's such a snooze that the last 30 pages seem to come out of nowhere, and you wonder why 👇

It was fine. Feeling the real pull now to get through the last five books of the series just to get a conclusion.

This week we have more of the Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan. One of the things I love to do is binge a series which means I buy the whole series at once so I have the ability to go right into the next book after finishing the one before.

Another solid entry. I feel like now I‘m past the half way mark the series is picking up again. I can‘t wait to read on because the characters are so comfortable feeling.

2. Reading my 1st no illustration chapter book in 4th grade Molly in the Middle. I learned to read late due to visual issues. The The Hobbit in 9th grade as my first adult book. It really inspired me.

Just started Winter‘s Heart, book nine in The Wheel of Time. It‘s doing a great job of distracting from the bit of pain I‘m having after getting my knee replaced yesterday!

I don‘t think the slog is as bad as people say as long as you scoot through the books quickly. I‘ll be honest, at this point, all of the books have merged together in my head. The story would be better served with fewer plots but that would have taken away from this epic storytelling. #BuddyReadWoT

Uh...so my copy of Winter‘s Heart goes from page 96 to 65. There‘s a double print of pages 65-96. That‘s so weird! I‘m reading the trade US paperbacks. Anyone else have this book and notice this issue? #BuddyReadWoT

I read Winter‘s Heart for the 2019 NEWTs readathon. It is hard to rate the series separately because it is more like one long story. This is my favorite fantasy series.

So much of what the previous books have been working towards is finally fulfilled in this one, very satisfying! It may be the pregnancy hormones, but I cried over Elayne and Aviendha‘s ceremony and loved their and Min‘s bonding with Rand. I can‘t wait for Mat‘s storyline to continue, so much fun! And the end… I promised myself to finish a few other books before starting book 10, but I don‘t think I‘ll be able to keep that promise!☺️

The great Wheel of Time readathon finally gets to the last book in the series I read when it first came out. After this it‘ll all be new to me.

This was great! There were a few slow parts, but the ending blew my mind! I finished this a few weeks ago but forgot to make a post 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hope y‘all are well! 💖📚

I really enjoyed this one and I am amazed that Mat, the character that I hated so much in the first book, turned out to be my favorite!

There are some brilliant moments in this book and there are sections that were a slog to get through. The cast of characters has gotten so large that I felt the need to look a couple up when they appeared after having been absent for a book or two. Luckily the brilliant moments are really brilliant or I might rate this one lower. Still I need a break from this series for a bit.

Whilst I have been absent from Litsy I have been continuing with my reading of The Wheel of Time books. It's going fairly slowly, but I'm enjoying them. I think it will probably take me the rest of the year to get through them all.

I‘m flying through #TheWheelOfTimeXmasReread Bk9 is done & dusted. I‘m on a roll! Mat is stuck in Ebou Dar, a city recently taken by the Seanchan, Perrin has had his wife taken by the Shaido Aiel & Rand is desperately trying to keep his sanity whilst getting harder by the minute. Hope is there too though in Mats escape with The Daughter Of The Nine Moons & Rands bonding with Elayne, Aviendha & Min. The conclusion with the Choedan Kal is also hope.
