Wind and Truth | Brandon Sanderson
Bailedbailed

Unfortunately, this book is terrible. The fifth installment in the Stormlight Archive is largely just background material that didn't make its way into the previous books. This is the "Furiosa problem." I loved the first three books of this series so it bums me out that Sanderson has completely lost his grip on narrative momentum.

“Honor is dead…But I‘ll see what I can do.”

I came across this quotation online while looking at some Stormlight Archive merch 😅 And then…I read it a few days later 😆 Such nerdy excitement!!

Pickpick

This installment of the Stormlight Archives definitely had higher stakes and felt darker than the previous two books, with corrupted spren and clashes with the very gods themselves. It also had cool worlds (Shadesmar) and amazing acts of heroism from all sorts of people. Is this my favourite installment so far? Maybe so!

That was a lot of pages. I have to say Sanderson writes the best battle scenes. He never loses my interest even with a gazillion pages. I was hoping for a good wedding scene though. I hope the extra week gave you all a little time to get caught up. #CosmereBuddyRead

Meshell1313 Ok lots of thoughts about this ending: - Wit becoming a radiant?!?! -I also thought the wedding was anticlimactic. Like I waited 3 books for this! -I don‘t think we‘ve seen the last of Moash. He‘s possibly our next villain???? 2w
JacqMac @Meshell1313 I was so disappointed in the wedding. I normally don‘t like too much romance in my fantasy, but this I wanted. And yes, I think Moash is going to get extra evil. I am interested to see where he is heading with Wit. 2w
rabbitprincess Planning to finish the last little bit today! This last part was RAD(iant)!! I‘ve also been consuming a lot of D&D-related content, so it‘s been fun to imagine this as a D&D campaign. Everyone‘s been levelling up nicely in line with the rising stakes. I can‘t wait to dig into Rhythm of War but will also appreciate a bit of a break 😅 2w

If you wish upon a shooting star, you may find a small iridescent stone in your palm. And if you carve into it the words of a dead tongue, you may well destroy the world.

Author: Hi hi, I am looking for some ARC readers for my upcoming book release (Grimdark Epic Fantasy). The undoing and its sequel, Law of Beasts~

The Brandon Sanderson streak continues! My favorite this month was Oathbringer. Still can‘t wait to see what the rest of the year brings. #2025readingbracket

Wow, what an ending to this very well crafted epic fantasy. I will definitely want to reread at some point to catch all the fine details leading the grand finale. If you are a fan of epic fantasy, and great world building, check this series out! 5⭐️

I‘ve been forgetting to note when I finish a book that qualifies for #chunksterchallenge2025. Here are all the books I‘ve read this year that top 500 pages. 3 “bitsy” chunksters but one fully qualifying chunkster. The Shadow Rising is my #allergictochunksters pick that‘s been sitting waiting for me for more than a year. It was so good, though! Looking forward to starting book 5 …

Amiable Excellent work! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 “Challenger” was a great read, wasn‘t it ? 3w
julieclair Congrats on all, but especially for finishing a book that‘s been waiting for a year! 🎉🎉 3w

High adventure, dark humor, sharp insights, and fantastic fast-paced plot make Tchaikovsky a go-to author.
