Anyone following my Fable #bookclub Prof. Stacey‘s TBR, I am trying decide on the genre(s) for our September reading. I am thinking a classic because many seems interested in the classics last round, but I am open to suggestions. If you have an opinion, please put it below, or find the post in the club lobby in the link below. #profstaceystbr

Here is my current TBR to kick off 2023!! However I have no idea what to start with! Any suggestions? Any favorites on the board? Any I should skip? Or if you see something on my currently reading list that I need to actually be reading, I am open to that too!

Thanks!! 💙💙💙

Made myself a what to read jar as I can never decide what to read next lol. Got to get through my TBR haha #whattoread #booksbooksbooks #tbr #readingchoices #toomanybooks #decisons

DinoMom Great idea! 3y
Cupcake12 What‘s the next book then? 3y
hannah-leeloo Kids just picked out this one @Cupcake12 😊 3y
tokorowilliamwallace I wouldn't be able to follow my picks, just as it's very difficult for me to remain focused in a linear fashion with any books I decide upon. I'm too slow of a reader to clip off my tbr at top knots. My constantly shifting reading moods determine what I can read momentarily, and if I'm not in the mood for the book I pick out of the jar... I tried to get through We Are the Brennans in the last week of March before my BOTM came in, couldn't do it. 3y
hannah-leeloo In those cases I could swap them out @tokorowilliamwallace 😊 3y

Guys and girls, which book shall I read next? Tell me.

wanderinglynn Ooh, some great choices there and a couple chunksters. I love Pride & Prejudice & GWTW. 5y
runswithscissors007 I have feel like I recognize that bottom pic. A legit... I will get to this later shelf!! lol! I may have one or two in my home... 5y
Tineke @runswithscissors007 one day... right. This shelf are only the books I acquired one way or another in 2019. I have shelves going back to 2010 I believe😅 And then a few unegistered shelves also. I think the amount of unread books I own are about a 1000? 5y

Just finished a book and not sure what to read next? What do you guys feel about any of these? #makemereadit

Eggs I read Ragtime and liked it 😊 5y
ljuliel Ragtime and Jonathan Strange are both good. Depends on what you‘re in the mood for. Ragtime is short but has a bit of history tossed into the story, while the other is quite a chunkster and reminds me a bit of a more modern version of a Dickens book, with many characters , but a bit more of a magical story than Dickens wrote. (edited) 5y
TracyReadsBooks Graceling all the way! (edited) 5y

Daisey This is a really interesting and varied selection. I enjoyed Plains of Passage when I read the four books together long ago, but my immediate vote is Graceling. 5y
Karisa Jonathan Strange was a fun read, but I'm going to join the chorus in singing the praises of Graceling. I read it years ago but remember loving the characters. They leap off the page and the adventure is a terrific ride. Great series! 5y
AllieLovesBooks Just based on the covers “Ragtime” looks awesome! 5y
TheSpineView Jonathan Strange is good. 5y
Heretherebedragons Either The Graceling or The Plains of Passage 5y
MicrobeMom @eggs @ljuliel @TracyReadsBooks @Daisey @karisa @OrtizReads1 @TheSpineView @Heretherebedragons thank you all! I will read them all, but I went with Ragtime because it was short. So far it is good. 5y

I really have been trying to get through some of my Library #TBR stack but still have these 5 to tackle. Also have the four on the left on my netgalley queue (plus 5 more on my older than 3 months but I think I might only end up reading one of those). I‘ve been in a bit of a slump so could use something really great and not too heavy. Any Recs from these?

Schlinkles Such a Fun Age is fabulous! I read it in one sitting. 5y
Crazeedi What really gets me is I have all these books I haven't read and sometimes none of them are what I want to read! Isn't that awful!! 5y
arubabookwoman I just finished The Most Fun We Ever Had and loved it. It‘s long, but it reads very fast. I hope you get to it. 5y
Hooked_on_books I just finished the Calhoun and thought it was tremendous. And I tore right through it. If you are a Gen X woman who feels like you should be more satisfied than you are, it‘ll probably resonate for you as well. 5y

I need some help! My Christmas break begins today! I passed Nursing 3 with flying colors, only 1 more semester until graduation!! I must say I am even more happy to get a chance to do some pleasure reading. I‘m ready to escape into a fantasy world!!! I want to read a series over my month break but can‘t decide which one.....what do you all think? What series gets your vote?

JenlovesJT47 Heartless is great!! 5y
Karisa Congratulations on passing a big hurdle! Those are all fantastic books! Just close your eyes and grab one. Can't go wrong! 5y
BookaholicNatty @JenlovesJT47 I haven‘t read Cinder or any of the others do you suggest I read those first?? 5y
See All 11 Comments
JenlovesJT47 No cause this one is about Alice in Wonderland so they‘re separate. Although Cinder and all of the others are great too! 5y
Sisasuku I suggest The Raven Boys - but just so you can tell me what it's like 😅 5y
SiriGuruDevSingh I‘ve read all 4 of these, and in my not-so-humble opinion, I advise: The Grisha trilogy for fairly entertaining YA fantasy, then The Raven Cycle for a more urban fantasy vibe! The Lunar Chronicles is EXCELLENT, but Heartless was meh, (when I later read Oakes‘ Queen of Hearts it was exactly like what I‘d hoped Heartless would be) and Caraval was annoying and made almost zero sense. Obviously, just my opinion—so much depends on our mood anyway❤️💕 5y
Eggbeater Congrats on your classes! You picked great books. The Maggie Stiefvater is my favorite, followed closely by Leigh Bardugo. 5y
LibrarianRyan Congrats on c;lasses. I bote Shadow and Bone. 5y
Branwen Congratulations, friend! My vote is to go with Maggie Stiefvater first, then Leigh Bardugo! 😁 5y
Buechersuechtling 🥳 on passing your exams 🥂, 🛋😍 on your month full of reading time 📚. 🤗 5y

I‘m going to blame my borderline migraine on my inability to pick what to read next. I honestly just want crack the window and crawl into bed. I pulled a few things off the shelf, but I‘m not sure if these are really grabbing me.

night_shift If they're not grabbing you and you're in pain, don't force it. Just get some sleep! Hope you feel better soon! 6y
