This collection of stories from his Newford series delves into the lives of city dwellers, including the artists, the homeless, and the marginalized. I love de Lint's beautiful writing and the mix of fantasy, folklore and horror.

This book was an excellent companion on my #audiowalks. The magic of de Lint pairs nicely with being outdoors.

I was so glad to still be able to visit the iris gardens this year. As a child i used to go with my mom and my aunt. Since my aunt passed, i still try to go in her memory. So glad covid couldn't put a stop to that. I adore the iris gardens-it brings so much joy!
And i discovered Charles de Lint since covid started (see tagged book)! I love his books!

My favorite Urban Fantasy author ever! I just want to go and visit the city of Newford once before I die.
This collection of short stories is one of my favorites and is a great introduction to anyone wondering what all the hype about Charles de Lint is actually about.

bailedAudio. Short stories. I may not have been in the mood but I just couldn't get into this collection. Each was brief and while well thought out, it just felt like something kids would tell over a camp fire. I didn't care about the people, the town, or the creatures.
