1. Anywhere near water, preferably the beach 🏖 🌊
2. Anything upbeat, really! My tastes change with the wind, but a current happy song would be Good as Hell by Lizzo 🎶
3. In college, I learned how to show train a cow 🐮
I‘m sure tons of folks have already been tagged, but if you haven‘t, feel free to jump in! Thanks for the tag @Princess-Kingofkings 😊
I downloaded Scribd on a whim and was poking around to see what they had. I discovered the audiobook for The Poet X, which I had been told was amazing.
Y‘all, I was no disappointed! This was incredibly powerful! I have never read a book written in verse, but I feel like audiobook is the way to go. It was much more impactful hearing the author read these beautiful poems about growing up and finding your place in a hostile world.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

1. I like to sing karaoke and my name is Kerri. It was fate 😂
2. Medical laboratory scientist
3. Working 😅 When I‘m at home, I‘m reading and playing Animal Crossing.
4. The tagged book, which is interesting so far.
5. Do something just for you. Self-care is so important right now! I like to listen to music and watch Booktube.
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
It‘s been awhile, but I‘m finally catching up on some #LitsyLove. Between moving, starting a new job, and the general craziness of the world today, my mind has been too scattered to sit and write. But your letters have been a bright spot in all of it and I‘m so appreciative! A special shout-out to @Kaila-ann for this surprise book! Thank you so much 😊 ❤️ Now to get to writing!
My #Netgalley rating is finally back up above 80%! Figured I‘d keep the ball rolling and get started on this March ARC 👍🏾
4/5 🌟 to this lyrical, beautiful book! This is YA fantasy/historical fiction about Nannerl Mozart, a musically talented young girl who is fighting to have her music heard. It doesn‘t help that her brother is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. She makes a wish that is heard by a faery princeling who promises to grant her wish... if she helps him with a few things first. This was absolutely mesmerizing! Definitely recommend 👍🏾
My #currentread! Trying to get to my March ARCs before their release dates, so this one had to come first. It helps that it‘s the one for which I‘m most excited 😁❤️📖
I have to say, I‘ve been really lucky with the ARCs I‘ve been reading, lately. The last two were both four stars and this one is on track to be, as well! I do love a book with good political intrigue.
It‘s this book‘s birthday! This is a dark sci-fi thriller that has been compared to Ready Player One. Though it started out slow, the pace really kicked into high gear once the game aspect was introduced. This book was definitely a page-turner and kept me on the edge of my seat!
4/5 🌟
Two of my many goals for 2020: catch up on my backlog of ARCs and get back into using Litsy on a regular basis! With that in mind, I‘m starting this ARC that was pitched as Ready Player One meets Stranger Things. Um... yes, please?!
Ahhh, thank you to my #LitsyLove swap partner, @HufflepuffGirl90 , for my #winterswap package! I‘ve been wanting to read this book for AGES and I love the pens/notebook/bookmark. They are all beautiful ❤️
I‘m really loving the aesthetic of this book. Also, Gideon is a genuine fave. Loving this story so far!
1. The tagged book and the audiobook of The Count of Monte Cristo which I will never be done with because it‘s forever long and I just can‘t get into increased listening speeds 😖
2. Othello by William Shakespeare
3. Cloudy and chilly. Typical fall weather... bleh.
#weekendreads @rachelsbrittain
1. Yup!
2. Journals, bookmarks, stickers
3. Beyond books, not especially.
4. Reese‘s Peanut Butter Cups, yum 😋
#litsylove @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @TheBookHippie
Went to the library to pick up a hold and came across this on a display. I‘m surprised it wasn‘t on hold like most of the new releases! #libraryhaul
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well, this book just destroyed me. I have so many emotions and none of them are good, but that‘s just because Colson Whitehead makes you feel the helplessness that those boys must have felt. Ugh, this book was incredible, but devastating. I‘m going to be thinking about this one for a long time.
This book hits different when you read it for the first time living in the USA in 2019...
⭐️⭐️ I‘m trying to get through my #Netgalley #eARC backlog this month and started with Last Tango in Cyberspace, a sci-fi centering around drugs, murder, and empathy. Interesting concept, but this book fell flat for me. The writing style made me cringe and the characters were very one-dimensional. Just not my cup of tea 😕
I finished my #OWLsReadathon2019! And I thoroughly enjoyed all the books I read for it, too! It‘s been a really good reading year, so far 👍🏾
#OscarMeyerTurnsFive @Clwojick
Happy birthday to Oscar Meyer from me and two of our three furry dictators, #Felicia and #Marmalade 😸 Thanks for the giveaway!
D‘ya ever read the synopsis for the next book in a series while currently finishing the previous book just to put your mind at ease? I just did because this book is STRESSING ME OUT!! I just want everyone to be okay 😭😂
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Uuuugh, this books was so good! It was whimsical and touching and so sweet. I got this book forever ago from BotM because the premise sounded intriguing, but I honestly did not expect it to be as good as it was. I thought it would be diverting and keep me interested, but it did that and more! This book had so much heart and I‘m glad I finally read it ❤️ This also ticks off my Herbology OWL for the #OWLsReadathon2019 ✔️
#LitsyLove going out and coming in! Thank you @IndoorDame and @whatsthEStorey ! I‘ll be reading them as I sit outside and enjoy the weather ☺️
I just got home and immediately opened up my #funkopopandbookswap box! @Traci1 I absolutely love it! This was so thoughtfully put together! I‘ve been wanting to read this book for forever and Carrie has a special place in my heart because it introduced me to one of my favorite authors. And IT was the second King movie I ever saw, so I love the keychain ❤️🎈 And the card 😍 You nailed it! Thank you so much!
And thank you to @kstadt929 for hosting!
#weekendreads @rachelsbrittain
1. The tagged book plus The Land: Founding and No Exit
2. 🤷🏾♀️ It‘s just so sarcastic when used in the right context and if that ain‘t me, lol.
3. 😂🎂😊
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved this book! This is the best thriller I‘ve read in a very long time. And I know it came out forever ago and I‘m slow, but... 🤷🏾♀️ This book was fast-paced and interesting and I honestly felt I was going a little crazy right along with Anna. And the twists! They chilled and surprised me and I absolutely loved it. I‘m glad I *finally* read this!
Spending my evening getting my thrills. This book just hit me with something I did *not* see coming and now I can‘t wait to finish it!
#FridayNightBookClub
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @JoScho
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oof, this book hit me right in the feels several times. The story of a cantankerous old man who would just like everyone in his row house neighborhood to follow the damn rules, if you don‘t mind. It is so much deeper than that, though, and I found myself wanting to give Ove a hug several times. And the end! 😭😭😭 I really enjoyed how this book gave you a preconceived notion and then set about shattering it. Definitely recommend!
#friyayintro @howjessreads
1. Hmm... probably the 90s. I have a lot of happy memories from that decade.
2. Physical books first, ebooks next.
3. We‘re the same age! Though I‘ll be 37 in Sept 😊
4. Nope! I‘m a military brat who then joined the Reserves *and* married an active duty man, so I‘ve moved a lot, lol. We do live closer to my place of birth than I have in a long time.
5. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Got an email for the Thursday Amazon Kindle deals and three of the four DC Icon books were only $1.99! I‘ve been meaning to read these books anyways, so I snagged em.
“The sales assistant looks down at the counter in a way that seems to reveal a fiercely yet barely controlled desire to begin clawing his own face.”
As a former retail worker, I remember this feeling all too well 😂😂
Thanks for the tag, @LaraReads 😊
1) I had to go with my favorite HP book since I can‘t take the whole series (tagged)
2) Hagrid ❤️ He‘s awesome and if I were in the HP universe, I would want his job.
3) Oof... I mean most of the ones I would want to drown die in the end anyways, sooo... 🤷🏾♀️
4) Hmm. I could really use a broom to fly back to civilization, lol.
5) Whomever hasn‘t done it yet! I‘m super behind 😅😂
#WhatWouldYouDo @DannyHattan
So I just found out about the #OWLsReadathon2019 last night, but it sounds like fun so I‘m giving it a whirl! I‘m gonna go for the following OWLs to strive to be a Magizoologist:
Care of Magical Creatures (land animal on cover) - A Man Called Ove
Charms (read an adult book) - The Woman in the Window
Herbology (plant on cover) - Beast of Extraordinary Circumstance
Potions (sequel) - The Well of Ascension
This counts as my #AprilTBR, too, lol.
Well, I read two more books than I did last month! And they were all 4-5 star reads for me, so March shaped up to be a good reading month. My favorite of the month is tagged, but they were all excellent. #MarchReads
I got my #funkopopandbookswap package! Thank you so much @Traci1 I can‘t wait til April 15th 😆🎁🎉
@kstadt929
This book was so good! I love mythology, though I don‘t know much about Norse myths, so this was right up my alley. The bonus of getting to listen to the author reading this (I never realized Neil Gaiman has such a nice voice...) just made it that much better. It was fun and humorous and just a great read!
I‘m loving all this #LitsyLove! These cards really make my day, especially when the mail usually only consists of bills and junk mail 😂❤️ Thank you and I will be working on replies since I finally got more stamps!
@AmyG @tracey38 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @IndoorDame @whatsthEStorey @aroc
1) Virgo ♍️ which I seem to fit more and more as I get older
2) Recently actively started trying to lose weight and I‘m down 10lbs! 💪🏾
3) Wuthering Heights. I just... couldn‘t do it. And I hate not finishing books (I made myself finish The Scarlet Letter) but I just could not get into it.
4) Work 😅
5) To anyone who hasn‘t done it yet! I‘m not good at keeping track, lol.
#friyayintro @howjessreads
Finished two books recently that were both 4 🌟🌟🌟🌟 reads, which is always a good feeling. Both of these books were kind of a punch in the gut. Pet Sematary hurt me because it was just to easy to imagine something horrid happening to my own kids and what I would do to have them back. The tagged book hurt me because it‘s always hard to read about a family that is just so broken. Both were choice, though 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
My #funkopopandbookswap package is on it‘s way! Should arrive in 3 days 😊 Hopefully my swap pick enjoys it!
@kstadt929
Time to catch up for the #BotMBuddyRead! I‘m glad we don‘t have plans til later today so I can just relax and read ❤️📚
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @TheBookHippie
Plans were changed, so now I‘m digging into this for #FridayNightBookclub. Can‘t say that I‘m terribly upset!
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @JoScho
What a #LitsyLove-ly way to start the weekend! Thank you @WeeziesBooks @Slajaunie @CoffeeNBooks with a special shout out to @LaraReads for the book! It has been on my TBR foreeeeever and I just never picked it up. Replies will hopefully be going out soon!
