It‘s December and the town of Mistletoe, ME has just had its first murder in 40 years. Holly has just returned to her hometown after a broken engagement and she‘s the one who finds the body. As the handsome new sheriff begins his investigation, he‘s moving too slow for Holly. It‘s a holiday mystery/romance that checks all the boxes. Except Holly‘s cat is a calico and the cat on the cover is a tabby.

Heads up #hollyjollyreaders if you are looking for the perfect #wintergames #wgwordsearch book this is it! A cosy mystery set at CHRISTMAS in a town called MISTLETOE about a girl who moves back home to her FAMILY and helps them put on their annual Christmas GAMES. Oh yes and there‘s a murder. I‘m hit or miss on cosies and I loved this one. Full of warmth, mystery, snow and a little romance.

Festive cozy. I plan to listen to the second book in the series next year.

This was a very enjoyable read. A woman heads home days before she was meant to be married. At the same time a murder is committed on the eve of The Annual Reindeer Games. She decides to investigate and help the local sheriff. Loved the characters and feel of this book. A good Christmas read.

I‘m an hour and a half in and enjoying this cozy murder mystery. Thought I‘d pop on here to mention it in case you are looking for something like this to listen to while driving or wrapping this week. Included with an audible subscription.

Starting the first book in the Christmas Tree Farm Mystery Series. I read the second book last year (🤷‍♂️) and really enjoyed it.

I am not typically one for holiday-themed books (except Halloween), but I am so glad I listened to this one! You know a book is good when you find excuses to listen to a book! Cozy mystery with a snarky female lead, a handsome sheriff, and a murder leading up to Christmas. I laughed out loud several times and am now contemplating how quickly I can begin book 2. The voice narration was perfect. #2017 #192025

Finished this last night but was too lazy to post. 🤣 A perfectly cozy holiday mystery! I‘d definitely read more in the series.

This was a perfectly cozy mystery. The only thing that felt a little like a cheat was the title as there was only one murder. The MC Holly had appropriate emotions throughout the book for her character.This book also almost completely filled my #WinterReadathon Word Bingo board. I'm just missing nativity, stocking, and mince pie.

I don‘t typically do cozy mysteries but this was delightful.

Holly White‘s engagement falls through but she has a warm homecoming returning to Mistletoe, ME. Until one of the locals turn up murdered at her parents‘ Christmastree Farm.

She alternates searching for clues, serving hot chocolate and playing “reindeer games”, but finds more than she asked Santa for.

🎧 narration was great but the Boston accent was more of a New Jersey thing 🤣

This story had me bought in from the beginning! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎧 I feel bad. I have to give this a so-so. I thought it was going to be a Christmas murder mystery. It seems to be more of a bad romance. I was not impressed but I was expecting a different book. If you‘re looking for a romance where the man saves the damsel in distress with sidecar of light mystery … this could be the book for you?

This was a perfectly fine Christmas cozy mystery. I kept forgetting the main character‘s name, but she was fine too. One nitpicky thing bothered me — she kept referring to her stomach as her “tummy,” and it seemed to happen a lot. I don‘t think I‘ve heard any grown adult call their stomach a “tummy” in a long time. I don‘t know why that bothered me so much, but it did. #audiowalk

For todays #festivephotochallenge and #reindeer my first thought was the delightful and bizarre setting of this cosy mystery - a Christmas tree farm that hosts an annual Reindeer Games attended by the whole population of the town and half the planet!

Loved this book and can't wait to read the rest of the Christmas Tree Farm Mystery series. I randomly came across this browsing on Libby and it easily became my favorite cozy mystery read of the year. The town of Mistletoe sounds so lovely and I loved the idea of all the Christmas games there. If you are looking for a sweet festive read with a side of murder mystery I recommend it!

Nicely written, delightfully sweet and small-town-charming, this felt like it could really be a Netflix series which I would absolutely watch

Book 6 #cozyinthesun @Librarybelle @ferskner A little Christmas in July cozy. It was very fun, whimsical and filled with holiday spirit. Made me crave hot chocolate and candy canes. I even set the mood with Christmas music and candle. I loved the banter between the MC and the sheriff. I laughed out loud many times. This should definitely be made into a Hallmark Christmas movie on their mystery channel.

Love the main character Holly. She's a strong independent woman who is sassy. I am definitely a character driven books. And Holly and Sheriff Evan Grey, 😍.

Super fun cozy mystery set on a christmas tree farm up north. Lots of typical elements (daughter returning home from a big city after a personal crisis, small town with quirky people, newcomer to town as a love interest, etc). Still, I liked the characters. Based on the title, I expected Buffy, or at least vampires. Nope. Listening to this audiobook was like listening to a Hallmark Mystery Channel movie. It‘s a cute cozy mystery where a young woman, fresh from being dumped by her fiancé, heads to her parents in her small hometown of Mistletoe, Maine, and discovers a dead body and a handsome outsider sheriff, because it‘s not a Hallmark movie without romance. It was the perfect listen for the season.

I really enjoyed this one and it helped me get more into the Christmas spirit. One of my favorite characters was Cookie because she was sweet and sassy. Even though I usually read more explicit books when it comes to mystery, it‘s nice to take a break from that once in a while. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Once I finish those, I will start Hogfather and The Book Charmer

I‘m going to DC for work this week, so honestly don‘t know how much reading I‘ll get done.

I loved everything about this mystery, even the cats. The killer surprised me! I thought I had it figured out and was blind to the clues because I was so in love with my theory. The characters were great, the town charming, and romance perfect. I can't wait to start the sequel. The only thing I'm upset about is that there are only two books.
