Gezemice This was a fun short book. I have enjoyed where he comes from when he writes of Greebo... and of course, Death, who likes cats. I was also informed by a British friend who said that “Campaign for Real Cats” was a take on “Campaign for Real Beer”, which was a thing in the 80ies in Britain. gossamerchild @Gezemice thank you for explaining that! I figured it was a parody of something, but was too lazy to look it up 🤣🤣. I enjoyed this. Some of the things he said really b struck my funny bone, and some things were very meh. It's always interesting to read works of his with which I'm not familiar. 6y

julesG @Gezemice I fear you are right. Even my team leader said I'm sounding more American. (I examined spoken English as a Second Language today and my TL had to monitor me for quality management. I hate being monitored. But I'm good. I was spot on with my timing and my marks.) 6y

zsuzsanna_reads Brilliant name. I want a cat call Sockrates with paws that look like they have socks on them. Sadly my husband dislikes cats (his only real shortcoming) and I own a 100pound dog that's terrified of cats and I don't want him to spend the rest of his life under the kitchen table. 6y

This fine piece of silliness by the Campaign for Real Cats was just the antidote I needed for a bad day pity-party.

We don't currently share our home with a cat but I'm left in no doubt that those cats I have loved (and been exasperated by) were all very Real.
