Posting this short story and awesome illustration about Baba Yaga in the Fables edition of the Taproot magazine for the #scarathlondailyprompt for Skeleton. #teammonstermash @staycurious
A sweet all ages graphic novel about two boys in love. One is a ghost, and the other has been able to see ghosts all his life. Nice blend of cuteness—(not too cute)—and creepiness—(not too creepy). Trigger warning for insects!
Nonbinary creator Keezy Young has used a lovely palette of muted colours for one world and lots of black for a spooky connected world. #LGBTQ #AllAges #comics
Adorable spooky queer romance graphic novel. The artwork is fantastic the storyline is layered and interesting. This is my first Keezy Young but will not be my last.
An incredibly sweet graphic novel about a necromantic garden and the ghost in love with him. Big Studio Gibli vibes from the illustrations which I loved, and the storyline was just so adorable. Plus an incredible reaper. Just incredibly cute and perfect.
Given the subject matter, a ghost in love with a corporeal man, I worried this graphic novel would leave me devastated. It absolutely did not. I love Hamal and Blue, and even the reaper is full of delightful surprises! The art is gorgeous as well. My only issue was the pacing; it felt a bit choppy, and Young could have spent more time letting us see the central relationship bloom. Still, this is weird and wonderful, and it kept me on my toes. 🌻

Starting the year off right with a graphic novel and the first book I'm reading off @sydneyerin #newyearwhodis list.
It was beautifully illustrated, and the story is both sweet and deeply emotional. It's at it's heart a story of outsiders finding acceptance in each other. I'm so happy this is the first book I'm finishing this year.

Every week, I highlight #LGBTQAuthors as part of #TheRainbowShelf 🏳️🌈 Keezy Young's mostly all-ages appropriate works explore LGBTQ+ characters and themes in their cute but eerie illustration style. After a childhood bursting with creative energy that expressed itself on the walls of her home, her creativity has been channeled into works that have earned multiple awards and honors. #LGBTQ #Comic #Webcomic #OwnVoices
This was really good! The art is beautiful and the story is so sweet!
I enjoyed this cute comic, but it didn't flow very well. It seemed like it still needed some polishing. I love the art style though. #queerbook #queercomic #lgbt #lgbtq
But....but...it's over?? I wasn't done and now I'm crying because I loved it so much.
Book was wonderful. I just finished reading it, it‘s so good I‘m letting my kid read it. I thought the combination of gardening, a gay love story and the supernatural was endearing. This was my type of comic book!
An achingly sweet graphic novel! A really quick read focusing on the relationship between a ghost and a gardener who can see them. I loved it so much I read it twice. Possibly my favourite reaper ever! #readingglasseschallenge
Awesome giveaway @callielafleur !! These all look really good! 😊 #ClearingtheShelves1

I‘m not much of a graphic novel reader but I‘ve been on a bit of a kick recently.
Taproot tells the story of Hamal, a young man who works at a plant shop and has an amazing green thumb, he also has the privilege of being able to see the deceased. Among the deceased is a boy named Blue, when Blue‘s existence on this plane is threatened Hamal will have to make a tough choice. 5️⃣⭐️
Good morning! About to start this before I have to get ready for work. When the cat is in this kind of cuddly mood, he lets me use him as a book rest! 😹
This one gets a pick because the set up, characters and gay human/ghost love story are so charming and refreshing👻. The action was a bit lame😆.
Blue is a ghost but that doesn‘t stop him from falling in love with Hamal, the one living person who can see him.
This is a sweet story with beautiful drawings and a gorgeous color palette. Kitcat has been pulling a heavy shift of napping while I read this marathon. #letsgetgraphicweeklongmarathon #catsoflitsy

Blue is a ghost so this is my pic for #broken-hearted
The colors in this are gorgeous!

If you‘re looking for a story that‘s both spooky and sweet this Halloween season, this is the book for you. Blue is a ghost. He‘s also in love with his best friend Hamal. But Hamal‘s ability to see ghosts has put them both in danger, and it‘s up to Blue to protect him. This lovely book is going down with Anya‘s Ghost and Friends with Boys as a new favorite ghost story for teens and young adults.
This was such a quick, sweet read. Surprisingly upbeat for being about the dead!
A LGBT ghost love story. I really liked this one. It was really sweet.
