pickThis is a retelling of Oliver Twist, and in the interest of full disclosure, I‘ve never actually read Oliver Twist, but I know the gist. This book was so enjoyable! Olivia is a great MC, spunky with a heart of gold. It‘s well-paced with adventure and romance, but not too much romance!

pickI really liked this! It was cheap on kindle, I loved the cover, and a reliable goodreads friend had given it a 5 star, so I thought I‘d try it. A retelling of Oliver Twist, a story which I‘m not that familiar with, this is instead the story of Olivia, who grows up homeless on the streets pretending to be a boy until a stroke of luck means she‘s discovered by an uncle and cared for. Adventures but also romance that‘s not too Romancey. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Olivia Twist was right up my alley and I absolutely adored it! I‘m usually wary when books are written in a different (previous) time period - historical fiction isn‘t totally my thing but I find there are some exceptions - but this was flippin amazing.

In the end this one with the characters, the bad romance, and the story that just didn't know what it wanted to do just kind of overwhelmed me a little. And after 100 pages it just started to go downhill and I started to get bored.

pickI absolutely loved this book! Victorian London, where the female protagonist is badass! This book was amazing, the story was great and the characters were great! I‘ve never read or seen any adaptions of Oliver Twist, so I don‘t know if that‘ll affect you, but I was perfectly happy reading this book!
I may be a little biased because it‘s my favorite setting and time period to read about. Oh well, I loved this book and everyone should read it!
I started reading this book last night and stayed up way too late! I‘m already 100 pages in and this book is so good so far.
Side note: I have never read the Charles Dickens version, but I don‘t think it matters at all.

I loved this book. “Olivia Twist” may be a quick read, but is fast-paced and filled with action, adventure, mystery, murder, street gangs, angst, and swoon-worthy romance. I enjoyed this twist on Oliver Twist and the characters Lorie Langdon brought to life.

pickJust finished this little gem of a reimagining. Will write a further review on the blog, but in conclusion - I would recommend it! I've never read Oliver Twist myself, but wasn't completely lost and even those not a fan of the original can enjoy it for the historical aspect.

pickI loved this YA romance/retelling of a classic.
Went into this blind, I preordered the book after having read a blurb here on Litsy.
It had everything. The characters have substance, even the minor ones. There's the twist to the classic Dickens story, there's suspension, danger and romance. I wanted to get to the HEA and I also didn't want it to end.
